Description

Sensation Gorge, located approximately 7km's west of Mole Creek, is home to a couple of unnamed waterfalls that flow north on Overflow Creek. Overflow Creek doesn't always have a good flow of water, and Sensation Gorge Falls are best seen after periods of wet weather. However, the Gorge itself is stunning in its own right, and would be worthy a visit whether water was flowing or not.

The cache is a small sistema with a stash note, pen, and a notebook.

We headed north today as we had to be at the Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm for lunch and detoured to find this cache as we were an hour early. A nice quick find luckily and the rain had stopped. Over 550 kms travelled today and when we left home we met falling snow at Colebrook through to Oatlands and then could see snow on all the hills and mountains to the west as we headed north west to lunch. A Day out with Oldsaint finding some GCA caches for the new Blitz Event. The day was amazing, from snow to blue sky, from heavy showers to dry roads. One leach to report though!
Started the day at 6am, although Oldsaint had driven from Huonville by then. The drive north was interesting, and even though Symons Plains had a race day on, nobody was there at 8am
Proceeded directly to our main target, the Sail Boat Geoart, and completed about 9 before the heavy shower set in, so we decided we could drive to the last during the shower and work our way back. At the last we we greeted by a large amount of snow on the sides of the road, and throughout the tree. We occasionally got "snow balled" from trees above as we were caching. Great day out.

According to the rules of Blitz
Blitz is a dragonZone encounter where you find as many unique valid dragonZone geocaches as you can during a set period of time in an attempt to earn a reward.
Rewards are in the form of dragonZone points but are only awarded if the entire team of geocaches who are playing dragonZone combine to exceed the total number of finds required.
If the entire team of geocachers who are playing dragonZone reach or exceed the total number of finds required then at the end of the game you will receive a number of dZ points based on your percentage contribution of unique finds.

For example:
Make 1% of the total finds, receive 1% of the total rewards points.
Make 5% of the total finds, receive 5% of the total rewards points.
Make 10% of the total finds, receive 10% of the total rewards points.

dZPoints will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The more unique geocaches you find the more you are rewarded.
Geocaches you find during the game must have been hidden and published prior to the game announcement.

After a Christmas shopping trip to Launceston we decided to travel home via some country roads to try to pick up some caches that have been on our to do list for a bit. We must have driven past this spot in the past but neither of us remember it. Today we had an excuse to stop and stretch our legs. A quick find was made with the aid of accurate coordinates and a useful hint. Thanks for the cache

One of the caches we found today on a drive through the area, nice to meet The Hilberts who had arrived just before us.

Thanks dez055 for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. Cache and contents in good condition.

Needed to find a small traditional today so targetted this cache. It was raining when we reached the parking area so it was a quick grab, sign and replace and we were on our way.

Thanks for this cache DEZ055. We'll have to come back at a later date to check out the falls.
