Description

It's not easy being green - Caroline Springs Lake

A few new geocaches around Caroline Springs Lake for no other reason than to get you out and about after a year of being locked up in the house.

A former mint container is what you need to find at this location, but it should be obvious where the geocache is hiding.

Not sure how uneasy it would be here.

Just spending your life watching the word go by.

Well for me it was a quick find at gz.

Placed my name in the log and was soon on my way.

Thanks for the hide, all looks to be in good condition. Car has gone in for its service today so I thought I'd tackle some of the caches in the area

We arrived in Melbourne around lunch time and found ourselves with time on our hands before we had to board the Spirit to head home after 5 weeks on the big island. We had 9.5 hours before we needed to join the line at Port Melbourne. What to do? Cache of course. With a few new caughtatwork caches we decided to take a little walk around Caroline Springs Lake. This was the first in line.

A break in the Saturday walkers, runners and riders enabled a quick find here.

Thanks for this cache and the little series caughtatwork. Its been a long time since we've been able to set off on a nice walking cache hunt.

#GA4980 - 07:45; In Melbourne with Sol de lune for a flying visit to collect some items and get them delivered in time for Christmas. After another early start today to drop off yesterday's goods, we then headed west to collect some of the newer caches which have appeared since our last visit, while we waited for the next goods collection point to open for business. The lake circuit made for a very pleasant stroll in ideal caching conditions. Enjoyable series in a top location. The first stop was a quick find and sign between some early morning muggle traffic. An unexpected two day trip to Melbourne with LuckyL10n and after completing the non caching duties, we headed out for this series before heading for home. A great area to walk around...and a great day to boot. Managed to grab this one during a break in the foot traffic and the log was soon signed. Another break in the traffic and the cache was replaced without issue.

One down, a few to go. Thanks C&W...good to be out and about again.

I remember delivering access equipment when this shopping complex was under construction.
The area has consolidated nicely over the past 13 - 14 years.
The cache was soon located and a conveniently located seat nearby was perfectly placed to sit and sign the log.
