Description

The Inlet - Caroline Springs Lake

A few new geocaches around Caroline Springs Lake for no other reason than to get you out and about after a year of being locked up in the house.

Take a walk on the boardwalk bridge over the inlet but as before you do check for the geocache that is hidden here.

Had a great day out and about in the springs picking up many caches.

This was one of the first.

Wow so so many people out excercising today.

Took awhile to find a break in traffic.

Then the cache was a quick find.

The Inlet sounds like some posh resort. Sadly even the bar here is currently closed. Not that I would have entered for a drink all the same.
Extreme stealth was required here as the jogging muggles seem to pop out of the ether as they round the bend near the water's edge.
Fortunately most of the activity here today was prams being sedately pushed along the upper boulevard.
I was pleasantly surprised when the cache presented itself in the first place I stuck my hand. Dancing
All good at The Inlet today. Signed, replaced, hands sanitised time to look for the next. Very Happy
Thanks for the cache caughtatwork. Clapping

After collecting the answers for the history cache we continued on to this hide. Fortunately there was a lull in the foot and bike traffic enabling us to make a quick find of a well hidden cache.

Thanks for another good cache hide caughtatwork. Apart from a little dirt on the lid and in one clip the container and contents were in excellent condition. We cleaned the clips before closing and replacing the container.

#GA4988 - 08:11; In Melbourne with Sol de lune for a flying visit to collect some items and get them delivered in time for Christmas. After another early start today to drop off yesterday's goods, we then headed west to collect some of the newer caches which have appeared since our last visit, while we waited for the next goods collection point to open for business. The lake circuit made for a very pleasant stroll in ideal caching conditions. The lake circuit made for a very pleasant stroll in ideal caching conditions. Enjoyable series in a top location and no real problems locating the various caches, which are all in top nick. No probs here, although it did take a couple of tries, and another bonus *FTF* TFTC caughtatwork Very HappyClan Cerberus

Had an idea where this one would be once we arrived and it was my turn to make the retrieval. Went a bit too far to start with, but soon backtracked and had the cache in hand. Stayed in situ to sign the log and soon had the cache replaced.

Thanks again C@W.... Very HappyVery Happy
