Description

As part of the 2020 Game of Games, Juily's challenge was to publish either a Podcache or a Gadget Cache. Since Goulburn had neither I have put out this simple Podcache for GCA-ers to come and find.

The location is a bush setting but is a very short walk from the road and gate. It is not on Private Property so don't cross the fence to the east. The cache is hidden about knee high in a big tree.

Enjoy !!

Today I came back to complete GC & AGC caches around the area. Last time I was here I tried this 1 but was thrown off by the location – then I read the cache notes properly once returned home – it was that homer simpson moment EmbarassedRolling EyesDohDohDoh – doh - today I found the Cache A OK. 1 slight issue cache container has broken on the bottom but log book is A OK - TFTC / TFTH / SL

Thanks for the cache. Called in here on our way home from Goulburn. Just couldn't resist 'Just one more' albeit our last for today.

Found 2:09pm Cache snug, and perfectly dry. Unfortunately, the container has a hole in its base.

Headed down to Goulburn to grab some GA caches. Wasn't sure if we were supposed to, but figured the boys in blue would tell us to nick off back to where we came from if there was an issue. It wasn't like we were going to parade around the local streets and go shopping, or had intentions to interact with anyone around town, and once done we were heading back home, so didn't think it was too much of a big deal. We passed a few boys in blue and they didn't come after us, so we figured we were ok.
This was a, *Just one more* cache. We had time before heading home. So, we called in and made the find. I was using my phone which was quite bouncy today. Took us a few tries to find, but persistence paid off. Thanks for the cache Fitzy_1965, a good hide.

This afternoon we were in the area tying off a few loose ends and this was one of them. At GZ we found a site that matched the information but nomatter how we search we could not locate a container. We read previous logs that confirmed we appeared to be in the right area. Alas after a lengthy search we had to leave with another GCA DNF.

#GA5299 - 15:15; A cold and windy day, but despite the weather, I set out with Sol de lune and Smittengranny on a "Blitzkrieg" to collect caches in the area to the north from Gundaroo through to Gunning and on through some other small towns and villages wrapping up in Goulburn. Managed 13 GCA and 15 GC for the day as we made our way along mainly country roads. Logs signed LL, SDL & SG or similar combination. This one presented a challenge on our first visit to the scene of the crime, but it all became clearer later on when the cache was discovered hidden inside another some 70 metres away! Sdl sets out the whole sorry tale below. Nice to get the find and return the cache to its actual home! TFTC fitzy_1965 Very HappyClan Cerberus

Thanks for a "different" cache Fitzy. I searched and searched at GZ to no avail the first time that SDL, LL and I tried to find this cache. Luckily for us we returned later in the day for an AL Bonus and the cache was found as per SDL's log. TFTC SL DancingDancingDancingClan CerberusClan CerberusClan Cerberus

Well, we found out why No_Tomorrow couldn't find it....

We searched for this one on our drive around the area. Couldn't find it so thought it would be a DNF. Turns out we were back here later when a bonus AL cache brought us through the area again. We found the bonus cache ok....and inside that ammo can was this cache!!!! Go figure. Reading the logs for the bonus AL cache, we discovered that another cacher has found this one out in the open while walking towards the bonus AL....and not knowing what it was, simply left in that cache.

We grabbed it and took it back to the correct co-ords and hid it so it hopefully wont fall out again....so long story short, it is there and is back where it should be.

Thanks for the fun fitzy.....something a little different for a find. Very HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery HappyVery Happy

Ahhhh, this Android app keeps catching me with these corrected coordinates. one day I'll learn to ignore what Google maps Karen tells me and just look at the map to navigate there. BTW I watched spiderman yesterday at my daughters and figured out where the name Karen most probably comes from. Very nice!

Thanks for the podcache and lovely walk in the woods.

Not off to a very good start, am I? Had this solves a while ago. Check I had the correct coordinates again but I couldnt find anything. Beautiful place in here though. Would be good for walking in.

Out for a drive with Black Bunny. Joint *FTF* with Black Bunny. The wind was nasty, the cold was something else, but the caches were worth the trip!
We were pleased to have the assurance about the land being public, because it looked a bit dodgy. Thanks, FITZY_1965!
