Description

Along the Snug to Margate shared path (STMSP); one of a series that KingSmev and I are creating.

This container was a FTF prize (from GA17075), it's now in place as a new hide; but not accessible from the highway.

The Snug to Margate shared path provides a safe and natural corridor for bikes, prams, walkers and joggers to enjoy between. It was an idea driven by the community following consultation in 2012, to create a safe and easy connection between the two towns.

Walking and cycling are healthy and economical ways to get around, and this path will be beneficial for visiting family and friends, shopping or playing in either town, hopping onto nearby tracks, or for relaxation. The path provides many opportunities to explore rural and coastal areas along the way. The three-metre width of most of the path has been designed to ensure there is ample room for enjoyment and multiple users.

Do NOT park on the highway. There is parking at both the Margate and Snug ends; as well as a few other opportunities along the way to pull well off safely.  This is a very busy and not so wide highway, so please take care.

You're looking for a hanging nano bison - watch out for muggles; they come from all directions, joggers, walkers and cyclists!

Oh, and you'll need your own writing stick.

Enjoy.

Made the find easily, but getting the log out was a little tricky, it just wanted to stay home !
Fortunately a little persistence (with no muggles around) made this possible !
Thanks for the cache, EeePees ! Very Happy

Today we had allowed time to tackle KingSmev's multi on the Snug to Margate pathway and to collect the other caches along the way. We had intended to walk the pathway but rain set in over night so we opted for a drive walk hunt.

As Mrs Y'stassie approached the search area some very large beef cattle began to follow her along the fence line. As they had plenty of good green feed in their paddock they weren't interested in food just curious as to what this person was up to. One even waited patiently while she located the container, signed the log and replaced everything before wandering away when she continued her walk down the path.

Thanks for this cache EeePees. We were surprised at the number of locals of all ages using the path even though there was heavy drizzle this morning. Container and contents were in excellent condition and the cache was well hidden.

Back for a second day, and the coordinates were spot on, even using a fairly dodgy GPS app on my phone.
Surprisingly not a single person passed as I did the deed.
Thanks

It was a lovely winter's day and we thought we would head down this way to find a few newly published caches that have appeared since our last visit and this was one of them. This is certainly a well maintained track. Thanks for making use of the container (FTF gift) so fast. TFTC

With the forecast of very cold weather heading our way we decided to try a grab a couple of caches before we start ‘sitting by the fire’ for a few days. Good to see so many of these walking/cycling tracks being established in lots of different areas and aren’t they great for ‘not too difficult terrain’ geocaching. So, thanks very much for these new ones. Nice quick find at GZ.
