Description

Along the Snug to Margate shared path (STMSP); one of a series that KingSmev and I are creating.

The Snug to Margate shared path provides a safe and natural corridor for bikes, prams, walkers and joggers to enjoy between. It was an idea driven by the community following consultation in 2012, to create a safe and easy connection between the two towns.

Walking and cycling are healthy and economical ways to get around, and this path will be beneficial for visiting family and friends, shopping or playing in either town, hopping onto nearby tracks, or for relaxation. The path provides many opportunities to explore rural and coastal areas along the way. The three-metre width of most of the path has been designed to ensure there is ample room for enjoyment and multiple users.

Do NOT park on the highway, the path, or the driveway. There is parking at both the Margate and Snug ends; as well as a few other opportunities along the way to pull well off safely.  This is a very busy and not so wide highway, so please take care.

You're looking for a magnetic mint tin (sorry) - watch out for muggles; they come from all directions, joggers, walkers and cyclists!

Oh, and you'll need your own writing stick

Happy hunting and enjoy the path, however you choose to travel it.

We must admit to driving to this spot or very close by. A nice hide on this style object. We didn't have to wait for any muggles here.

Thanks for another cache in this series EeePees. The traffic had been quiet thick earlier but had started to thin out so we had time to enjoy the surroundings.

It was a lovely winter's day and we thought we would head down this way to find a few newly published caches that have appeared since our last visit and this was one of them. This is certainly a well maintained track. TFTC

With the forecast of very cold weather heading our way we decided to try a grab a couple more caches before we start ‘sitting by the fire’ for a few days. Good to see so many of these walking/cycling tracks being established in lots of different areas and aren’t they great for ‘not too difficult terrain’ geocaching. So, thanks very much for these new ones. No walkers, joggers or cyclists here today, just us wearing our coats, caps and gloves.
