Description

A nice walk next to the Tamar River

This cache is hidden on a path that my family and I walk most nights when the weather and light is good.

The cache is about 1km from the Paper Beach Park, and is a flat, dog friendly walk.

Those feeling energetic can continue on down the path to the Supply River ruins, which is also a great walk.

If the tide is out a bit, you can talk the beach back and explore the rockpools and feel the sand between your toes.

Who knows, I might see you on the track!

PLEASE don't cut through any private land to get here, park at the end of Paper Beach Road. Some of the locals don't like people crossing their property!!!

Not caching anymore, so it's only fair to free up a spot for someone else.
Will remove when I get back that way.

1st of the two in the area...An easy walk along the trail and no problems reaching the GZ. Once there log was signed and it was back to the car. Couple of other folk out for the walk, but really, just a quiet day.

Thanks CraigRat...nice spot.

After an enjoyable walk to Supply River Mill we still had enough energy in the tank to nab this one. Having walked half of the Paper Beach track from that end in BC days, it seemed fitting to do the other half to the cache from this side. Once again we found a cache in good nick & some great views along the way. Thanks CraigRat.

Thank goodness for detours because we didn't bring our snorkels! Most of the track was ok but there was one very long and deep puddle not far from GZ. An easy find when we got there. TFTC

Had to drop son at Carnacoo scout camp and given this one is so close couldn't resist walking down to nab it. It's a really nice walk along the river there and if I'd had time I would have followed it through to supply river but as it was just signed the log and backtracked to the campgrounds.

Started from the car park on the northern end and had another most enjoyable walk along the river to the cache. Just as I was about to reach for it a muggle couple rounded the corner and scared the life out of me. I fiddled with my 'mobile' for a while until they were out of sight and then it was a quick removal and replace and back on the track again. Thanks for the hunt CraigRat.

Top walk a tad warm towards the return to the car.

Hi CraigRat
This walked started in a magnificent way in that at the path start, two black cockies were screaching and eating pine cones in the top of the pines. Great way to start a walk.
Passed a couple of people walking their pooches on the way in.
A group of young ones were eating muscles or oysters on the beach.
Found and logged the cache at 1430hrs after passing many of the clue along the way.
Took my photos as usual and walked out.
Back to the cache machine and off to look for more.
Went to log this cache have just realised that I left my paper work behind somewhere near the cache. What a bugger!!!
First time here and thoroughly enjoyed the area. Thanks for taking me there, for the cache, a great walk and my seniors moment.
TFTC and cheers; OldSaint.

Very Happy We accidently stubbled across this cache. While thinking its such a beautiful place to put one. As the site we were useing didn't show these up.Thanks craigrat for the help finding this site.

11-Aug-10
Should have known better - the news reports all day had been of record rainfalls. The track in from the west was more of a minor rivulet in places - terrain should have been at least a 3 today.
Anyway found it easily by torchlight and noted that although there are several seats along this track, Craigrat hadn't placed his cache beside one for the comfort of old cachers while filling in the log.
Some caches are memorable for challenge of the find, some for the view, some for the history you weren't aware of - today this one will be remembered for the wet socks I went home with.
TNLN. TFTC Craigrat.

Found this one easily after a long walk whilst time was against me!! It was a lovely walk that I am sure would be more enjoyable when not rushing along the path!! Found easily and logged quickly as I could hear voices not far off but did not see anyone on my trip back.

A pleasant walk along a good track with a very cooling sea breeze on what has been a rather warm day. A quick find once reaching GZ.

11-Feb-10
Another great walk!
Weather was warm but wet but it didnt matter a I seemed to dry out in between the showers.
Got stuck behind a few dawdlers and the expression on their faces when I overtook them was priceless, especially when I looked back and said 'that was the overtaking lane', I could hear them laughing for some time after. But I needed to put a good gap in between them and I so I didnt get spotted trying to find the cache.
Needn't have worried as the coords were perfect and the hide super easy.
Thanks for another top cache CraigRat.

It's a good day when you can beat Madchilli to a new cache!!
We were watching the cricket and noticed this new one pop up and thought what the hell lets go it's only a 20 minute drive from our place. There were a few campers in the campground but no cachers around. Thought for sure we would pass Madchilli on the track but we were in luck.Pleasant walk along the beach and track and nice easy find. Thanks for the prize CraigRat.

It's live!

Beware of roaming CraigRats on the track in the evenings.... I bite!

There's a FTF prize in this cache.
