Description
Take a break, take on serenity
A+ selected this, our first site, being a scenic spot she used to place a control for the Cyclic Navigator enduro mountain bike event last November. Very pleasant on a warm day - take a picnic & chairs. Just like the cache, please leave the yabby pots as you find them.
Easily accessible by 2WD gravel road from either direction. Suit mtn bikers and walkers the first of whom might also appreciate our very detailed recreation map of an adjacent area (currently being remapped following Feb 09 fires).
This is a working forest so watch for logging trucks. If heading out to Spargo Creek Rd after this cache, then about 4km SE via Linehans Rd is Moorabool Reservoir with pleasant gardens, bbq and toilets and even a historic building available for weddings. Worth a detour and to make it even more worthwhile, I'll place a cache there Christmas 2010.
Camouflaged 1L Sistema.

Better yet there was a cache to find on the other side of the lake
Over yonder I began my search.
I couldn't find anything
The clue was not making sense either.
I kept looking.... then the eureka moment !
The clue suddenly made sense and I wandered over to find the well concealed cache in the next place I loooked
I do not think I would have found the cache without the clue !!
When walking back to the car a had a particularly hard whack at one and then later realised I been successful at flinging my sunglasses into the dam.
Thanks for bringing me here.
A short of road drive and we found the stunning little lake.
A quick walk to gz and I was soon scouting the area.
Like a few others I should have followed the GPS.
I spent 10min widening the search before returning to the clever hide.

Around the back of the dam, blackberries are dripping off the bushes. We quickly collected the pot shown (photo) for blackberry pie and summer pudding. Yum!
Cheers Gordo
GabGab and I were out caching with Jess and we purposely headed this way so we could find this cache. We were very stymied by the lack of maps and roads and tracks, so we ended some distance away and then cut through the bush via various means until we finally came upon the right track. Toyota (and my wife) would have a fit if they knew where my Yaris had been today.
Anyway, parking at the side of the road we headed towards GZ and, of course, ignored the GPS and headed to the obvious spots only to be disappointed.
We then wandered around for a while looking for other spots and still ignoring the GPS until we finally stumbled upon the cache. 1m from where the GPS said it should be.
Look, I blame my habits on the old yellow etrex. The new Orgegon 450 is so much more accurate I will need to start to rely on it rather than ignore it.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks Kennythe1st for this cache experience today. It was a nice drive (even through the bush) and the area around GZ looks very serene with the amount of water. We even saw little tiddlers are the waters edge. A most pleasing cache location.

Yeh .. FTF
Having finished work at lunch time we were looking for a cache to do this afternoon. We had seen this one launched a few weeks ago and were supprised that it was still not found. It was a great drive over to GZ and we were amazed to see so much water in an area that is generally very dry. Our GPSr had us checking in a few different places before the sneaky hide was discovered.
We took the generous FTF find prize, thanks Kennythe1st for a great cache (more like it please).
