Tried looking for this one with my brother 5 years ago and did not find. Went out again today to better success. The cache was guarded by a hoard of creepy crawlies. I think it was hidden on an ant mound.
Almost could not open the cache. For a second I thought it was rusted shut.

An interesting adventure and a fun cache with lots of stuff in it - we swapped a Sydney 2000 pin for on shaped like a squirrel.
Few warnings though - cache is way off any kind of pathway and ground is very uneven. Wear sturdy, enclosed shoes. Lots of wildlife, including a lot of mosquitoes. It's a fun find but take care.
Also, if you bring a bag and aome gloves this is a great opportunity for CITO - lots of washed up bottles, etc scattered around.

This cache is deserving of many more hits - great place to get away from it all and go cache-hunting! The mosquitoes here are tough though - they love Aerogard as a pre-dinner drink, so be warned. Highly recommended.

Find #28 - Found on 20/03/13 2:54 PM
Found a small track at the suggested starting coords, followed this down to a small creek crossing. Lots of spider webs and sticky beaks around. Found cache at the coords, all nice and dry. Thanks. TNSLLN

I came here after work to find a couple caches; it was a shit night so to find this cache was a top highlight . I got here at about 6.15am & it was still a little darkish but enough light to walk the path from the parking area near the brick pit parking area. As I was walking to listed waypoint to walk through the bush I was being followed by what I would call a fox, it was following me ready to pounce , the only way to detour it was to shine the LED torch into its eyes & keep walking . I kept looking back & it was determined to follow & pounce on me at first opportunity & no I wasn’t smoking any drugs it was a fox. It didn’t like the torch so it saved me in the end. As I reached the waymark area & walked to creek, it was still too dark so I went back to keep walking to the other GCA cache Six and Out! Sydney Olympic Park with the fox still following but only to the road then it disappeared. I was unable to find this cache so by this time the dawn light increased to daylight & I figured I would return to waymark & with enough light cross the creek. From here a short walk to cache, after a little search I found it.
This is a top location at this time of the morning with the birds & other wild life in the area. A BIG thanks for showing me this area of the Olympic Park.
I dropped in cache a geo coin but am unable to list it on this cache as on this site it shows I have no personal or other swaggies.
It is called Geocoin Addict Geocoin, http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=2409607
So a big thanks for the cache, TFTC / TFTH / SL

This was too good to resist. A cache in the swamplands...felt more like I was on the set of M.A.S.H.
After parking my car and looking for a way in, I found a track, jumped a creek and walked to GZ. It had me walking around in circles for a while, until my cache eyes tuned in and I spotted the cache. It's actually in the open, but very well camo'd.
I SL, looked though it, but TNLN and replaced. Thanx for the little adventure blossom*, loved it. Nice to see a big cache out here, where no muggle would EVER go! TFTC.

We got to the right entrance (which was blocked off for some reason) the first time but found ourselves confronted by a small stream between us and the cache which was just too wide to jump across so we thought it must be the wrong entrance! But after about an hour of walking around and around the cache on the more public paths (which weren't blocked off haha) but finally went back to the place and crossed the stream. After searching for 30 min fighting the hundreds of incredibly massive spiders and thousands of mosquitos, we decided to take a rest. (Our phone GPS is always about 10-20m off, makes it more fun). But just as we sat down we found the cache! Thanks for the awesome cache! Anyone else - watch out for the massive spiders and take some RID(anti-mosquito) stuff (not that it did all that much for us - they still ate us alive.)! Thanks again for the awesome cache!

Left the wife and baby in the nearby park and braved the wild wetlands to seek this cache. Didn't look where the given coords for best access was but when I came to a new road bulldozed through the scrub which was going in the right direction I headed in. There is a newly dug drainage channel which will now need to be negotiated but I didn't have any difficult with undergrowth on the rest of the journey. The mosquitoes took a fair bit of blood though!
Cache was found easily once I got to gz. Thanks blossom*

No found it or dnf for us - the boys gave up in the heat before they got very close. Maybe next time.
Found together with rogerw3 and Yurt and Yurt, Jr.
The later actually first put his hands on the cache. Published coordinates proved to be quite accurate.
We walked here from the local 'Gnomefest' -- braving the 41 degree heat -- and discovered the classic container to be in very good nick. Contents were completely dry and in good order.

Many thanks to blossom*!

After the nearby Gnome event, pjmpjm, rogerw3 and team Yurt went for a walk in the blazing heat to find the nearest cache. After a slight false start we found the way in (assisted by rogerw3 only so far as he had found it previously) and on to GZ where the geoboy made the find while the older seekers blundered on. Good hide in an unexpected spot. We did a small trade of toy for toy and signed the log and replaced.
Thanks!
Thanks!
cache number 4 for the day. Easy to get to if you follow the Co's advice. Interesting mix of vegetation. Found the cache in good condition and dry. Forgot to look for the TB, but do recall seeing it in the cache. Left Yowie, Olympic Pin and my signature Pathtag.
Thanks for a reason to go to this unusual location.
Thanks for a reason to go to this unusual location.
this would be the seediest cache I have ever done.
After returning to the main path, I spent about 10 minutes getting various seeds out of my clothing.
Anyway, the access was easy enough, especially going from the spot suggested in the description, though I had to make 2 attempts, as there were muggles working where I wnated to cut off the path and I had to wait till they moved on to their next spot before I could duck into the bush.
Found easily enough, and in good order.
I did not notice it was a GA cache, (they all look the same on the Garmin screen) so had left a TB in it.
Will try to return and grab soon to retrieve unless someone else does so in between (grrrr- more seeds to deal with)

After a few visits to Olympic Park while on work trips I am finally finishing them all off .. This morning this involved a visit to the wetlands - blossom* assured me it would be raining and due to the location of the cache, I would get quite wet and messy.
Well - it wasn't raining, but I still got quite wet and messy. Getting in and out of the cache area was a real challenge, I looked around for a path and eventually decided there wasn't one and headed into the growth. After much stumbling, spider webs and soggy patches - I was making the sweet un-clicking sound of an ammo can opening!
Definately a different spot and a well hidden cache. Well done and Thanks for another Olympic Park adventure.

Had time to grab this one while the kids were playing in the nearby playground. The cache is in perfect order and still well hidden.

I arrived early for a presentation in bicentenial park and had some caching to do to fill in the time. My first target was the moveable bike cache and I managed to get a car park right near it but there was a group of kids skateboarding right near it so I decided to leave the car there and go for a walk for some other caches. That made this the first for the day.
Good size cache in a very nice location.
Grabbed my first swaggie from the cache.
Thanks.

Love this cache. Was a bit concerned though that I wouldn't be able to find my way back out! Kids took ladies sunnies and harley toy. Great cache to do with kids!
Another great little walk in the Homebush area.

After an unlikely bump into 2/3's of the Spindoc Clan and a quick moveable cache grab together we teamed up for this little pearler. Blossom* has done a fantastic job on this cache, the only thing holding back my 5 star review was the GZ lacks a view. Everything else about this cache is awesome. Yet another hidden spot in SOP I never knew about and a fun detour to get to. The Ammo can is goody'd up and even has a secret 2-seal protection system! In a GCA kinda warm glow afterwards I left Spindoc and chased his first GCA hide nearby, Stick in the Mud. Seemed appropriate. Highly Recommened cache!

Zac and I bumped into Zalgariath at an earlier cache nearby, so we decided to team up for this one. At first we were scratching our heads wondering our to get there. Of course once we read the description we realised where. As we wandered in we knew this is off the beaten track. GZ revealed a well hidden AMMO CAN full of goodies. Zac enjoyed the find and talked about the treasure back in the car. This is a great example of a cache that is well thought out, expertly put together and reflects all that I like about geocaching. Five stars blossom*

Can't have unfound caches cluttering all my nice little green flag found ones in Sydney Olympic Park. So seeing as I needed to duck out to the shops this afternoon ducked a little bit further and went for a bush stroll. Probably just as well it is a GCA cache and won't get as many finders as a GC one for whatever reason as the geotrail is already quite noticeable. After the initial rush it should have time to recover though.
Nice big container and if that gets water inside there is something wrong! No swaps from the well stocked cache. Thanks blossom*

As tronador said a nice peaceful site, apart from the drum noise from a concert at Olympic Park. Good spot for a cache but be prepared to get wet feet if it's raining.

What a wonderful spot. It is definitely not in the creek but I believe this may be reclaimed land judging by the amount of bricks lining the banks. Very soft and spongy underfoot, probably more so when the tide is in.
It is incredibly quiet and peaceful at GZ. I was almost tempted to go home and get my tent and camp out here. The cache was easily found, and it is very well waterproofed.
Unfortunately, after only one other finder I found a very distinct geotrail through the long soft grass. Hopefully, this will not attract the attention of muggles.

Woo Hoo!! FTF. I left this one for two days to allow others to have a shot at it but this morning couldn't resist grabbing it.
I love how Google Maps shows this in the middle of the water, I can assure you that a canoe is not required although after two days of rain gumboots might have been handy this morning. There is some very long grass on the way to the cache and by the time I had returned to the car my shoes and jeans were a tad damp.
This is a lovely out of the way spot and the cache looks like it has been designed to withstand the anticipated rise in sea levels, bushfires and nuclear holocausts. As always a well stocked cache Blossom* and thanks for the FTF prize.
