Description
Apollo Bay is a small enclave on North Bruny Island.
This cache is located in a small bay on the southern side of Apollo Bay.
If travelling in a 2WD it's probably best to park near S 43° 09.864 E 147° 17.109 and walk the last couple of hundred metres to GZ. If in a 4WD you should have no trouble parking fairly close to the cache.
There is a nice cleared area at the end of the road, a good place for morning tea or lunch. Take in the nice views, smell that salty air, and maybe even go for a little stroll around the foreshore.
Please replace the cache as found, and watch out for snakes.

hi Lil Rafa and rld4963, thanks for another nifty cache, found with AlbyDangles as we wend our way back towards the ferry.
Last night a Bruny caching trip was planned with AlbyDangles and so we were on the first ferry this morning, after we'd each taken part in Lighting The Dawn in our respective laneways to remember (and thank) the ANZACs.
After a fair bit of driving to both ends of the island, our spoils included 4 new GC caches (including 2 FTFs), a bit of walking, including the Fluted Cape circuit, the Adventure Bay Adventure Lab, a fantastic ultra multi (GC) and of course your two GAs, including this one.
We've been here before, sure that we'd found a cache hereabouts in addition to the nearby LGA challenge, but I cannot find a previous log or listing, so maybe I'm hallucinating!
A great day out with AlbyDangles - thanks Lil Rafa and rld4963 for contributing to our adventures.
Cheers, EPs.

Don't you hate it when you write a lengthy log for a cache, hit LOG and 'This page can't be Displayed' comes up!!
That's what happened here so I'll give it another shot.
Rode the bikes down to GZ but I'm pretty sure the campervan would have got down here, it's certainly been down worse in the pursuit of geocaches.
A quick find of a container type we'd already found twice on this visit to Bruny.
Thanks.

Out and about on a mission to find the new multi with goose on Bruny Island and we were lucky to score three FTFs and this was one of them. A cleverly constructed cache. We drove down the track but today it was a lot wetter than when Mrs W was here 11 months ago. There was also an elaborate camp set up right above GZ, but it has all been cleared out. TFTC

I told whitewebbs I'd never been to Apollo Bay but as we drove in it started to look familiar. Yep, I lied , I had been for a drive down here with SSR a while back. We got hit by one of the passing showers, the only time all day we'd got caught but it soon cleared. The first place we looked for the cache was a big fat no, looking at the now settled GPS we soon realized where it was and were very happy to find another blank log sheet. Another FTF for the day with whitewebbs.
Now to tackle the challenge cache out on the point, boy the rocks are slippery!
Thanks RLD4963 and Lil Rafa
