Our favourite cache of the day. Mr Beetle was aware of these falls but we had never stopped to look at them before. Today we were heading to the Lake McKenzie road to do the Geo Art trail so we stopped on the way.
Normally Mr Beetle doesn't walk to caches but he did do the walk to this one. The falls were much more impressive than I was expecting and we checked them out before heading back up the track and grabbing the cache, which was quickly found thanks to a few things we picked up from reading the logs of other finders.
The track was fairly steep and slippery at the end but we made it back up with only a stop or two.
Thanks for bringing us here, something we probably would never have done without the cache being here.

Hi Hilberts
Found this cache fascinating
The walk in and out was very good - steep in parts, but enjoyable
The cache was Sainted at 1225 hours with Budgietas
GPS was unsettled so the search took a little longer than normal
Thanks for bringing us here
Cheers OldSaint

A Day out with Oldsaint finding some GCA caches for the new Blitz Event. The day was amazing, from snow to blue sky, from heavy showers to dry roads. One leach to report though!
Started the day at 6am, although Oldsaint had driven from Huonville by then. The drive north was interesting, and even though Symons Plains had a race day on, nobody was there at 8am
Proceeded directly to our main target, the Sail Boat Geoart, and completed about 9 before the heavy shower set in, so we decided we could drive to the last during the shower and work our way back. At the last we we greeted by a large amount of snow on the sides of the road, and throughout the tree. We occasionally got "snow balled" from trees above as we were caching. Great day out.

According to the rules of Blitz
Blitz is a dragonZone encounter where you find as many unique valid dragonZone geocaches as you can during a set period of time in an attempt to earn a reward.
Rewards are in the form of dragonZone points but are only awarded if the entire team of geocaches who are playing dragonZone combine to exceed the total number of finds required.
If the entire team of geocachers who are playing dragonZone reach or exceed the total number of finds required then at the end of the game you will receive a number of dZ points based on your percentage contribution of unique finds.

For example:
Make 1% of the total finds, receive 1% of the total rewards points.
Make 5% of the total finds, receive 5% of the total rewards points.
Make 10% of the total finds, receive 10% of the total rewards points.

dZPoints will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The more unique geocaches you find the more you are rewarded.
Geocaches you find during the game must have been hidden and published prior to the game announcement.

Wandered down to these falls, and the track was a bit tricky due to teh recnt rain and steepness. Found the cache about 20 metres from the coordinates, but given the heavy cload, this could have been our GPS

Caching in the area with whitewebbs we made our way to GZ.

We had no idea these falls existed so nice to visit a new location.

Many thanks Hilberts we enjoyed our visit here. Falls were slightly flowing and looked spectacular with the morning sun on them.

Just.... WOW
We've been back and forth past the turnoff for years and didn't know this was here. Bit steep getting down and back but so amazing and worth it.
Found the cache with the hint (thank goodness for reception) was about 15m away from where the GPS wanted us to be.
Seems both of us forgot to bring a pen from the car so I took a photo of the log and container and wrote TAZ on the log with a stick dipped in dirt.
Thanks so much for bringing us here.

Was out doing some caching around the kentish area, drove out to this one having driven this road many times but never knew the waterfall was there.
parked in the appropriate parking spot and headed off down the trail, there has been alot of clearing work done on the track which made it easy to follow.
Went to the trees mentioned in 2y's log but the pink tape was missing due to clearing of the trail i guess, however there is orange tape on the 2 myrtle trees which helps,
my gps was indicating that i was 15m from the cache while standing right over the hide. signed the log then continued to check out the falls.
TFTC Clan Cerberus

for future cachers if you go to the myrtle trees you will only require 2-3 steps from the track.

Although Mrs Y'stassie spent a lot of time in this general area in her youth we had never been to these falls. It is certainly a beautiful area with wild flowers, fungi, mossy rocks and tall myrtles.
Unlike SiriusTas our GPS indicated the cache hide was 30m NW of the published coordinates and hence we searched for sometime before locating the cache. Container and contents were in good order.

After replacing the cache we continued of to the falls - quite spectacular today with a strong flow over the falls.

Thanks for this cache Hilberts and for bringing us to this lovely spot. We did meet a couple of walkers on their way down as we headed up.

Just a note for future searchers who may have trouble locating the hide as we did - when you leave the track you should have pink tape on your left and twin myrtles (diameter approximately 30cm each) on your right.

Hi Hilberts...this cache location is why I started geocaching. To explore previously unseen scenic locations.
Hard to believe that I didn't know these falls existed...given the amount of times I've driven past while working up this way.
Murder was itching for a walk...so he led the way.
Approached gz where spot on coords enabled a quick find and another ftf.
Walked the short distance to the falls which were flowing quite well...very speccy.
Thoroughly enjoyed this awesome location....so many thanks for the experience...cheers ST.
