Description
We were travelling through this part of the Pilliga and noticed the lack of caches so decided to publish some. This traditional cache is hidden across the road from the National Park and should be a relatively easy find. The terrain rating takes into account the remoteness of the region but it is in an area well worth visiting.
The Salt Cave Dam is not far away inside the Park and if you're there at the right time of day it can be a bird watcher's paradise. Today the dam was pretty low and as we were there in the hottest part of the day there wasn't a bird to be seen. However I did hear Noisy Miners, galahs and honeyeaters.
Please bring your own pen and make sure you completely cover it again. Not only for the camouflage but also to protect it from the harsh weather conditions that this area can experience.
TG47 is not claiming FTF as he was nearby when it was placed.

Logs
Walked down from camp to look for this cache. Searched every stump and log, and with our GPS's jumping around, we widened our search. Most of the stumps and logs are burned, so maybe the cache is no longer there. We tried looking up when there were bushfires there, and there was one somewhere in the Pilliga in Jan 2022.
So no find for us
