Description
A cache placed for the 2020 Game of Games
This is the Sideling Lookout, 17 km south of Scottsdale. What a beautiful scenic drive back to Launceston and the lookout is a must see.
There’s a lookout (and toilets), and it is well worth stopping to stretch your legs and take in the view.
even a picnic area if you wanna stop for lunch.
The container is a small black container with a log and a few small swaps.
You will need to bring your own pen.

While up North chasing GCA caches for the Battleship games we stopped to find this cache. A quick find and always a good spot to stop for a break. TFTC

Hi dez
An early start to the day; started with a slow drive over icey Huon Highway
Met up with Budge and then onto Launceston
Trying to earn shots for the Battleships Game was the main objective for the day
4 GC caches were found along with 16 GCA caches
In so doing, I expended 1450 calories while taking 4837 steps to cover a distance of 3.9km on foot
We enjoyed completing this series, as we had done some of them before
This one was Sainted at 1140 hours
Thanks to Budge for a great day
Thanks for a most enjoyable cache with a great view
Cheers OldSaint

A Trip with Oldsaint was on the cards for today, and the target was GCA caches for shots on the battleship board. A second objective was to get Oldsaint to the next dragonzone level, which happened early in the day. Thank you for the caches to that helped make the day a success.
Great location for this cache, found with people on the lookout not even seeing us sign the log book

Stopped at the lookout, as I always do on my way to Scottsdale and collected this cache to cross off the list. Easy find. Might pose an issue if the area is busy. TFTC

Have cached in this area before. Today we stopped on the way to Derby to do some bike riding and the place was literally crawling with muggles. Searching was nearly impossible, so we had lunch and then waited for a chance to look. Patience paid off in the end though. Thanks.

Driving back to Launnie after a camping trip to the East Coast we stopped to stretch our legs and find a cache.
After waiting for a muggle to leave we made a quick find and replaced the cache.
Beautiful views today, thanks dez055 for the cache.

This morning had to go to Scottsdale for to fix a break down a customer was having. There was no one at the lookout do it made swapping the bag and drying the log super easy.
I tried to do maintenance on this one today but on the way to Scottsdale there were 3 lots of people nearby and on my way back there were a Victorian couple having a picnic within a few meters.
If the next finder could replace the bag it would be appreciated.
Otherwise it won’t be until I’m up this way next.

We were out and about today so made a detour up the Sideling to find this cache. When we arrived there were 3 cars of muggles scattered around the parking area. They gradually finished their cigarettes, returned from the lookout and came back from the toilets and drove off. We then pounced and after a short search spotted and retrieved the cache container. Then it was time to retreat as 2 cars with small children pulled in. The children headed to the lookout. After about 20 minutes they left and we were able to return the container. The next group of muggles arrived just as we reached our car.
Thanks for this cache DEZ055. The coords were spot on but we found about 2cm of water in the container and the log was damp. There was a hole in the plastic bag so even though the bag was zipped the water could still get in. The CO might like to check it out when next up this way.
The view from the lookout was very nice today.
