Description
Ironstone Gully Falls
These waterfalls flow quite well in winter, cascading over the rocky ledge, especially after heavy downpours.
Quite often one will see the optimistic photographer there taking photos of the cascading waterfalls, especially during winter.
It is a dry riverbed during the later summer months.
This particular area was reserved for Capel River Settlers in 1903.
It was for their use as a recreation area.
The last sports meeting was held in December 1919.

Saw this pop up in my email Tuesday night, had to go see my 'eye candy' surgeon yesterday in Perth and since it was still undiscovered this morning I messaged Rach2 to see if she was interested in a little drive south.
I quickly whacked the co-ords into my phone before we left but it seems I got them wrong, we were about 126m out
. Not to worry Rach fixed the problem and we headed to GZ which funnily enough is where I said the cache was when we drove in. A quick find by Rach after she finished taking photos of orchids.
Lovely hearing the red tail black cockatoos out and screeching.

. I've heard this area may be day use only and closed to camping in the near future, will have to wait and see

Dimor messaged me this morning to see if I wanted to go and grab this one. Great spot for orchids and saw some red tailed black cockatoos. Nice spot for a cache. Shame the campers have left so much rubbish around the place.
