Some time on my hands after dropping Loz off for a math tutorial. A quick dash around the dead folk to gather in a few outstanding caches.. thanks..!!

Mr Beetle again waited in the ute while I searched for this one.
He resembled my search to that of a zombie!!!
In the end he came to help and without even a GPS walked straight to the cache and pointed it out.
This was the only one in the whole series that our GPS didn't like with the coordinates being quite out.
Thanks.

A Day out with Oldsaint finding some GCA caches for the new Blitz Event. The day was amazing, from snow to blue sky, from heavy showers to dry roads. One leach to report though!
Started the day at 6am, although Oldsaint had driven from Huonville by then. The drive north was interesting, and even though Symons Plains had a race day on, nobody was there at 8am
Proceeded directly to our main target, the Sail Boat Geoart, and completed about 9 before the heavy shower set in, so we decided we could drive to the last during the shower and work our way back. At the last we we greeted by a large amount of snow on the sides of the road, and throughout the tree. We occasionally got "snow balled" from trees above as we were caching. Great day out.

According to the rules of Blitz
Blitz is a dragonZone encounter where you find as many unique valid dragonZone geocaches as you can during a set period of time in an attempt to earn a reward.
Rewards are in the form of dragonZone points but are only awarded if the entire team of geocaches who are playing dragonZone combine to exceed the total number of finds required.
If the entire team of geocachers who are playing dragonZone reach or exceed the total number of finds required then at the end of the game you will receive a number of dZ points based on your percentage contribution of unique finds.

For example:
Make 1% of the total finds, receive 1% of the total rewards points.
Make 5% of the total finds, receive 5% of the total rewards points.
Make 10% of the total finds, receive 10% of the total rewards points.

dZPoints will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The more unique geocaches you find the more you are rewarded.
Geocaches you find during the game must have been hidden and published prior to the game announcement.

Hi Hilberts...parked near gz and was about to head off with Murder(4 paws) but the sign said NO.
So while he waited in the car I got to look around gz which took awhile as didn't reall know what to look for
Eventually found with all in top condition.
About to head for #2 when a muggle waking a dog went past...so no sign problems for them.
Many tftc...cheers ST.

I got back to the start and when looking for this one and I was not having much luck, so I read some older logs and realised that the co-ordinates were a bit wrong and the ones posted by 2y'stassies had me at the right spot with the cache in my hand. TFTC Hilberts. Pray

Was working in Scottsdale and on the way back i had a bit of time up my sleeve so grabbed a couple of the Graveyard Dash series.
Also while hiding some moveables near a cache i found a wallet that looked like it had been stolen, so i gave it to the office.

My average for this cache was the same as 2y's with my GPS saying i was out 12m.
but luckily was quickly found and signed before muggles came along. TFTC

I saw this series published a few days ago and waited until today when I had an appointment in the area. I enjoyed the walk around the reserve so thank you Hilberts for the cache.

After spending the day on cache maintenance and visiting friends we were heading home when we remembered these recently published caches. We had to come through Launceston so decided to attempt these before heading to Bunnings and home. It was decided that we would split up with Mrs Y'stassie tackling caches on the walking trail and Mr Y'stassie looking for those in the cemetery.

This hide was at the start of her walk. Her GPS took her straight to a tall stump. She could not reach the high hollow branch so backed away until she could see inside the hollow on top of the branch - nothing visible so she breathed a sigh of relief and began to widen her search. She was on her 12m circle when she spotted a likely hide. On closer inspection she spotted the container and was delighted to find an empty log. {FTF} to us at 18:15

Thanks for this cache Hilberts. It has been a few years since our last visit to this reserve.

As her GPS was sitting steadily on 12m from the published coordinates she took four readings and the average gave coordinates of S41 27.957 E147 10.499. This may prevent future searchers from straying too far from the track
