out and about with Lil Rafa caching for the new Battleship GCA game, this was on the list to find this weekend. TFTC TNLN lots of hiding places you have to scout around with the coords.
As we sat in the car eating our lunch we noticed a small group of mourners and a funeral director walking off in to the cemetery carrying what could possibly have been some ashes and a bunch of flowers.
They were very close to GZ for this one so we decided to come back to it later.
Later unfortunately meant a worker was then near GZ but we didn't have to wait too long for him to move off. We definitely didn't want to leave one unfound cache in this series.
Spotted the bottle first and then the cache container.
Thanks.

A Day out with Oldsaint finding some GCA caches for the new Blitz Event. The day was amazing, from snow to blue sky, from heavy showers to dry roads. One leach to report though!
Started the day at 6am, although Oldsaint had driven from Huonville by then. The drive north was interesting, and even though Symons Plains had a race day on, nobody was there at 8am
Proceeded directly to our main target, the Sail Boat Geoart, and completed about 9 before the heavy shower set in, so we decided we could drive to the last during the shower and work our way back. At the last we we greeted by a large amount of snow on the sides of the road, and throughout the tree. We occasionally got "snow balled" from trees above as we were caching. Great day out.
According to the rules of Blitz
Blitz is a dragonZone encounter where you find as many unique valid dragonZone geocaches as you can during a set period of time in an attempt to earn a reward.
Rewards are in the form of dragonZone points but are only awarded if the entire team of geocaches who are playing dragonZone combine to exceed the total number of finds required.
If the entire team of geocachers who are playing dragonZone reach or exceed the total number of finds required then at the end of the game you will receive a number of dZ points based on your percentage contribution of unique finds.
For example:
Make 1% of the total finds, receive 1% of the total rewards points.
Make 5% of the total finds, receive 5% of the total rewards points.
Make 10% of the total finds, receive 10% of the total rewards points.
dZPoints will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The more unique geocaches you find the more you are rewarded.
Geocaches you find during the game must have been hidden and published prior to the game announcement.

Was working in Scottsdale and on the way back i had a bit of time up my sleeve so grabbed a couple of the Graveyard Dash series.
Also while hiding some moveables near a cache i found a wallet that looked like it had been stolen, so i gave it to the office.
My gps was saying i was 9m from the hide when i located the cache but logic thinking had the cache in hand. TFTC

I saw this series published a few days ago and waited until today when I had an appointment in the area. I enjoyed the walk around the reserve so thank you Hilberts for the cache.

My second one today but will have to get home so will leave the others till another day TFTC and series
After visiting friends in George Town, we came back into Launceston to look for caches in the recently published Ethen's Graveyard Dash series. When we arrived, we were relieved to see that the main gates remained open until 19:00 which gave Mr y'stassie just under an hour to drive around the western end of the cemetery whilst the other member of the team concentrated on the reserve at the eastern end and the track on the Opossum Road side.
With one cache having been found, Mr y'stassie has a better idea of the style of container and hide. That led to a faster find, even though the cache was still 7m from the published coordinates. The cache and contents were in good condition. There being no other entries in the logbook, we will claim {FTF} at 18:25. Thanks Hilberts for the cache and the series.
