Description

A Drive By at the Vic/SA Border

Where is the border?

Its so poorly defined here unlike other places!

I've only just moved into the area and am surprised at the lack of caches in Casterton and Surrounds... so i have decided to do something about it. This cache forms a part of the 10 Years of Geocaching celebrations.

Here is the second and it is a 1 litre Sistema container hidden in proximity to the border.

Good Luck and Safe Travels

Didn't find anything like a regular size cache here. Looks like some chainsaw work has gone on here and I am thinking the cache was muggled.

Found It!
I approached from the south and had to drive though a big puddle of mud to get to GZ. But thankfully the Hilux made it though without getting stuck! Done a lot of border crossing today...

#GA1951 - 17:30; Day three of a caching mission to Victoria with Sol de lune. After collecting more than 100 finds yesterday, today's mission is to travel west through Ararat, Stawell, Horsham, Dimboola and Nhill to Bordsertown, then on to Naracoorte and Mount Gambier before returning to Creswick via Lake Bolac, caching along the way. After a brief visit to SA, it was time to head for home, but before crossing back over the border we stopped off so I could grab this cache. Sdl had found it 5 1/2 years ago and was no help. The long grass was wet from heavy rain earlier in the day, so I managed to get wet feet. A good search soon saw the cache in hand though and it is in surprisingly good condition for its age. Log signed and we were headed for home. TFTC TeamGeoPlesk Very HappyClan Cerberus

12:30 SA time was a little late in the day to visit this one after sitting idly here for 11 days, I must have only missed a FTF by a couple of hours at most.
Compared to it's friend across the road this was a piece of cake (or is that cache).
Find the exact location of the border @ http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM8XZ7_SA_Vic_Border_Marker_Ardno_PM_38
My thanks again to Team GeoPlesk
