Description

Team Ninja's first GCA cache is hidden between Sunbury and Riddell's Creek with great views of Mt Macedon.

The cache is hidden on a council access track. Parking is available at the gate at the end of Settlement Rd and from there it is a short 500m walk to the cache.

The cache is a large container, can I please ask that you hide the cache back properly to ensure it doesn't get muggled.

Enjoy the views = )

The entire hill that this cache was hidden on got burnt in the recent grassfires....I think it's safe to say this one's gone.

A huge day of caching that started in the wee hours of the morning and ended at about 9:30pm with one exhausted trail runner. I had agreed to pick up my caching buddy jsmyong55 at a reasonable hour and when we had finished he and he had added another 120 caches or so to his tally. It was a nice way to end our partnership as J is heading back to Malaysia soon. It will be hard to find someone to cache with that can fill his shoes.

I apologise to all the CO’s for using a generic log but after the 130+ caches for the day for me I’m too exhausted to even think of writing an individual log for each. Thanks to each and every one of you.

@1506 SL but the tree has been removed. Placed cache near a pole.

It was dry enough (except that last bit) but a short run would do me good. Smoky view today - several spot fires in the hills. Thanks.

Found by Team Ladava around 3.40pm
Like others, we made this one almost a drive by as the puddles looked a tad deep about 80m from gz.
The views of Mt. Macedon were spectacular with that clear winter's vision of darker hills against a light cloudy background. Just so sharp and clear.
Again a nice sized and well stocked cache.

As we were returning a couple of riders were making their way toward us in the cattle paddock perhaps curious why we had ventured up the access road but no harm done.
Our thanks to Team Ninja for the cache and the views.

Found 3.00pm
Drove to the end of the road to find that we were still 700m away from the cache. With rain falling and the sign on the gate suggesting we could get closer the choice was easy. It was only when Jill went to open the gate that we realised just how muddy it was, not the sloppy mud type muddy but the real thick wow look how much is sticking to my boots type muddy. Oh well, too late now, with mud in my car we slipped ..... and slid our way to within 5m of the cache. I suggested that Jill should go a grab the cache (well her boots were already muddy) while I turned the car round. We then slid and slipped our way back out again !!!!

2nd to find. GabGab and I were out for some annivesary cache finding fun and decided that the two caches by Team_Ninja needed to be on the list.
We approached from the wrong way and had to backtrack a long way to find the correct approach road. We then took a liberal interpretation of the sign and made this a drive by Smile
At GZ the cache was easily spotted even though the GPS suggested another 17m out into the field.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for this cache and view Team_Ninja. It's a nice place for a stroll (or drive by) and the views across to the mountains are quite a sight to behold.

Co-ords were a bit out.
Had me out in a paddock 25m from the correct GZ!
Lucky I saw the actual cache site before hopping any fences.
Should still be an easy find without correction.
Nice view. (see pix)
