Description

Cache number 5 of 10 of Series 2 for GCA 10th Anniversary.

Just off the track, but only a couple meters so no problem getting there if you get the right track.

A little bit of scrambling and it will be yours.

Too close to another cache.

Enjoyed the walk to this one very much. When I arrived, the cache was full of water. The log was wet, but not beyond repair. I have taken it out and have been drying it on the dash all day as I travel about. I will put it back next weekend. Hope you don't mind RW.

Nice track that I'd walked before. While waiting for Altaire to cycle home after the Christmas event I went in search of this nearby cache. GPS signal was a bit wacky but I managed to scramble to the cache location and complete the caching business whilst doing a balancing act. Thanks rogerw3 for another great hide.

On the track for Altaire's multi, it was a relatively easy side trek to the GZ and then for the seek. Not there, surely? Please! Few options, it was a tentative stand on the loose leaf litter and a long s t r e t c h for a fingertip grasp. Whew. Log signed, and time to look about ... 'tis a lovely location. TFTC Smile

Found the way in and then went for the walk. Arrived at GZ and had a look for a minute of 2 before thinking about something else....and after a look around, the cache was in hand. Actually stood there and signed the log before returning the cache and then taking the walk back to my car.

Good fun this one.... *Recommended* ....thanks Roger3w...great location.

Went across on top before realising the downward approach would of been appropriate this time. Nice hide and a bit of challenge to retrieve. TFTC.

We looked high... We looked low... We saw an obvious spot and dismissed it... There it was! Nice one! TFTC!

10-Nov-12
I took the wrong track a few times but finally found the right one and the cache that is as well. TFTC.

Anoth quick find on our early morning blitz.
Found after completing a nearby puzzle cache.

The continual rain during the afternoon significantly dampened my enthusiasm as I tramped through the wet bush at Wilson Glen, first heading too high, and finally getting myself on the correct track, lower down. The Glen is a beautiful place, and we should never wish away the rain, but I was indeed soaked through and through and my geocaching spirits were rather low.

However, when I reached GZ and looked around, I had to smile. Because I spotted just the place where rogerw3 might place a cache. And so it proved to be. Knowing of our CO's 'scrambling' abilities first-hand, I was sure there was a way to safely nab the little container, and indeed I found a procedure to achieve it.

So this experience really cheered me up, sodden though I was. There's nothing like a geocaching challenge -- successfully overcome -- to lift the spirits!

Cache container was fine and the contents were dry. TNLNSL.

Lovely green bushland, great rock formations -- certainly a 'Three Thumbs' experience -- but the nice hide raised it a notch to a 'Four Thumbs Up' for this one.

Thanks yet again, rogerw3!

Luckily we've been over most of the paths in this area many times over the years so we knew exactly how to reach this one. On a Sunday morning bike ride we stashed the bikes a short distance down the track and continued on to the cache locale. After a few minutes the nice hide was located and the duties done. This is quite a pleasant area to wander around - there are a number of connecting tracks to follow and you can complete an easy loop walk here back to Railway Parade via Gyspy Cave. Nice cache.

Nice easy find. With a bit of luck with took the right track, which we hadn't explored before. This is a lovely park.

Found the track without any problems but not the cache. Scratched around in the litter but the cache refused to reveal itself, wouldn't be the last, thanks.

Woohoo FTF. Blossom* and I thought this was going to be Groundhog Day after we had spent a while searching with no results. Then Blossom* called for a hand. SHe had spotted something but just needed a bit of help to check it out. Yes. We had struck paydirt. Thanks RogerW3 for a nice cache.

We're on a roll now ***FTF*** again! There's a good path to this from the fabulous shelter shed but we drove past that and bush bashed the whole way down the hill!! As we arrived close to GZ, a well worn path appeared and we hopped on to it for the final search. It was beginning to feel a lot like our earlier DNFs with Team Lego Men and I looking all over the place, up and down the slope, left and right along the track. After a bit, with my gps settled, I noticed a nice little spot with a really interesting plant growing right next to it. Woo-Hoo!!!! With a bit of help from Team Lego Men, I retrieved the cache and we were able to relax and admire the bush around us.

Thanks rogerw3, this is a great walk. Best thing was the plant at GZ, I loved it!
