Hidden as Part of the GeoArt games.
This Series of GeoArt Caches are in the shape of the Ship, they will tell you the story of Baudin as he leaves his Homeland.
There is a lot of local history as you meander around the Lower South West of WA, shipwrecks, stories, artifacts, and several original homesteads to pursue.
As History goes, this story started in the early 1800's.
It is a series of caches which traverse along the Busselton Bike Path, showcasing the wonderful Geographe Bay.
Let the Historical Journey continue...
In September 1803 Baudin died at Ile de France [Mauritius] and the Casuarina was abandoned there.

A bit of confusion with this cache in my note taking.... With people too close we couldn't look on the way past so we stopped on the return. Nice to find a familiar container under the brick. TFTC pood.

Nice easy find, on a gorgeous sunny day, during downtime working at Leaver’s. Sat on nearby bench to complete log, had chat with local muggle. TFTC
Staying nearby and had an hour or so to kill before we had to 'frock and suit up' so thought why not look for the odd cache or two.

After an enjoyable walk along the path from GA19760 Mrs Y'stassie was delighted to uncover the tiny container in the first spot she looked - good coordinates here. The container and log were in good condition. After replacing the container she sat and enjoyed the scenery before moving on.
