Description
A cache to celebrate 10 years of geocaching.
This is a very short 2 part multi, with the coordinates for WP2 in WP1.
The first cache is a micro, but the cache title might give you a hint as to where it might be! But to minimize damage of the local flora, I suggest you look at the hint, as the coordinates were fluctuating between 6 - 17 metres accuracy! If you can get a better reading, i'll change the coordinates for the listing.
This is a lovely little dell tucked away on the slopes of Mount Wellington.
The second and final cache is large, with lots of room for swaps.

Logs
This cache appears to be MIA so we'll archive it to stop it turning up in the search lists. If the owner can confirm it's in place the listing can be activated by placing an unarchived log against it.
SG-3 and I had a good look for WP1 but no joy. Given how specific the hint is, and how long it's been since the last find, we suspect that WP1 has gone walkies.
Decided to do a couple of caches on the mountain today as we haven't done very many of them at all. Didn't pick the best day but the drizzle wasn't going to stop us and it was still a nice mild day.
Found the first WP with the help of the hint and a bit of staring at the right place.
Really should have followed the track up through this pretty area instead of deciding to follow the arrow! Headed back down the road on foot and decided to follow a sort of not really but it will do track up into the forest. Eventually came across a real track. A nicely made track! Followed this and a cache was quickly found.' Followed this back to the vehicle. Rather more pleasant this way!
TFTC.

While having brekkie at the farmers' market as we usually do on a Sunday, I felt the urge to go up the mountain for at least a short walk. Which is fantastic as the nausea and exhaustion of the 1st trimester kept me at home for most of the summer. So off we headed. Lottie was excited to be out amongst the fern trees (and animal droppings; Scott had to do some interesting work with the lead to keep her presentable). I found the coords not bad at all at the first waypoint, however GZ was off by quite a bit. Luckily I thought the hide was fairly obvious (to caching eyes) so I quickly had the cahce in hand.
Located GZ1 after picking up a couple of others in same area. There are many words that might describe the type mind that would think up this one, among them are clever, devious, converluted, diabolical, tormenting to name a few of them. Being new to this stuff neither Vasco nor Duck had any idea what Buffalo tube was or looked like but with stealth, persistance and pig headedness we eventually found it and moved on the the real cache. Took a ladybird thing that will get relocated to the mainland and left some Cassandra charms. Nice job Greenish thanks

Swampy and I set off on some caching and decided to tackle some close to home. We headed up the mpuntan to do this one. I found the first WP and off we trudged to find the cache. If we had headed in the right direction the first time we would have found the cache quicker but it was a nice day for a walk so it didn't really matter. Cache was eventually found and logged and I got some "interesting" photos of Swampy so all in all a good day
This cache had us a little confused.
Firstly, we took off down into the other dell near the bus stop but the GPSr then had us 70m short and downhill. So we got back up to the road and followed an overgrown track until there was no more. This area was very slippery and dark and we weren't having any luck at all until I kept going up and up and I found a proper track. Once there it was only a short time before the GPSr updated and the cache was found.
TNL a ladybug (I think). Thanks Greenish

Very nice little multi. Even if it was snowing. In October. And I'll be wearing shorts in a couple of days no doubt. (Crazy weather)! Very pretty ferns. Maddie enjoyed the jaunt too as she'd waited patiently while I had a quick look at the nearby Plant Fair. Thanks Greenish - another Mt Wellington goodun'!
Nice little multi. Good little multi. Feel like I am talking to a 3 year old. Took bouncy ball left donkey. Tftc
I think I need to go to a counselor now

Certainly paid off going right back through the logs on this one. Headed up the track and then Mr Beetle wanted to bush bash. I had to inform him [who hadn't read the logs] that DnA had tried that approach and it was much easier to stick to the path. He reluctantly continued and in a short time the cache was in hand thanks to a very clear clue. The cache was not visible from the track but one step up onto the bank had it clearly in sight. Seemed as though one side of the container didn't want to shut with the customary click but as the contents were dry I guess it's sealing properly. Thanks.
On the way down the mountain there was just time for one last find. As I negotiated WP1 there was something vaguely familiar that I could not quite put my finger on........
And then came a nice easy amble to GZ amongst the ferns and trees, and the cache was easily found.
I had always thought that this area deserved a geocache, and now there is one !
Nicely done, Greenish, and thanks for the cache !

A nice easy two part multi. A pleasant walk in the bush and an easy find. Took fridge magnet left compass keyring. Tftc
Yet another track I've never been on!
I was going to follow this up by going higher up the mountain, but it was a bit too nippy.

Hi Greenish; my experience was not as bad as that as DnA!'s; however, the thought did cross my mind, especially as the GPS was all over the shop. This cache was my fifth of 5 for the day, logged at 1513hrs. Almost a first to find, I came second by only a few days and a few minutes; not by that much is it? loved the walk around the track!!!! In fact a mountain biker all dressed up in lycra went past and said "Hi" in a very high pitched voice; I think his bike saddle was cutting into him or the strain of pedalling uphill was just too much for him!!! Anyway, I enjoyed the cache, the 2FT and not having to bush bash - cheers for now OldSaint.
Why do I listen to Mr DnA!?
Why did I need to bush bash to get to the GZ when there was a perfectly formed path to walk along?
When we eventually found the path, we spent way too long searching for the cache. We eventually found it very close to the path at S42 55.190 E147 15.590 (according to our TomTom).
We love the location, it is very picturesque. It was much faster returning to the cache-mobile via the formed path.
This mountain never ceases to surprise us with its hidden jewels and thank you Greenish for showing us another one.
BTW, did we mention that we were FTF?
We took the "stowaway" TB and will return it to a GC cache soon.
