Description

Paradise Peninsula - Clifton Beach

This cache has been placed to celebrate a new Geocaching Australia type and is the first GeoArt placed in Tasmania.

It is called a GeoArt geocache.
This new geocache type is a sub type of a traditional geocache where the phsycal geocache container is at the published co-ordinates. In adddition to the published co-ordinates an additional set of co-ordinates are required which will place a map marker in order to display your GeoArt.

The caches have been placed in the general area of "Paradise Peninsula" (as called by the locals) which starts at Lauderdale and ends at Opossum Bay. It is also the area we have called home for over 33 years.  Here you can play BOWLS, golf, fish, go boating, surf, kayak, mountain bike plus many other activities and of course plenty of GEOCACHES to find.

I hope you enjoy the series.

Please bring your own pen. Parking available in bus stop.

Hello whitewebbs thank you for the cache.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I have tried to logged this cache three times now.

I first looked at GZ before widening my search, after some time EeePees joined me and after not too long he found it.

An afternoon caching with my good friend EeePees.

Found on Thursday 28 April 2022 sometime in the dark.

Found on a nighttime geocaching with AlbyDangles.
Hi whitewebbs, as you know, we were in the area tonight, and we called in here on our way back out.
As it turns out, this became our last find for the night.
This was found deconstructed, and took longer than it should.
The host was separated in twos, the upper was upside down and full of water and debris. The inner was the 3rd item found, laying in the grass - but still sealed with dry contents.
Signed a dry log, and re-assembled everything before re-hiding.

Thanks for the cache and this series - still a few to go !
Cheers, EPs.

Bush bashed my way much more than I needed to here but I wanted to get over in the scrub and hide as quickly as possible due to the constant stream of passing muggles. A quick find at GZ once I got there. Thanks.

Today was a rare family free day in the south of the state so we thought we'd have a go at some of the caches in the South Arm area. This geoart was published about the same time we were down here last and has been on the to do list ever since. We tackled the caches out of order but in a sequence that made sense for us. We really enjoyed the series, the different hides and the fact that there was parking handy to each of them. Our first geoart finds, woohoo! Thanks for the caches and the series

Thanks for this Geoart series Whitewebbs. Today was a lovely day to look for caches in this area, so the GeoGSP and I headed out for an afternoon of sunshine, visiting beaches and finding caches.
Nice quick find, just had to wait for a gap in the passing muggles in cars. Love this type of hide.

Some time off from a hectic work schedule and decided that a quick loop of the Sandford area. Found all but one of the new X marks the spot caches, which I found to be a great series mainly differing hides. Great Variety of caches. TFTC and the series.

Second find for the day. Took a little longer to find than the first one, as tried to find without the GPS

Number 1 was next on our list. The GPS pointed us to the right spot but the short one couldn't reach so she had to find a way up. Although the area was dry the slopes were slippery. When she finally reached the hide she got a prickly welcome from the cache guardian. A nice snug little hiding spot.Container and contents were in good condition. A short slide soon saw Mrs Y'stassie back on street level.

Thanks for this cache Whitewebbs. We are enjoying the variety of hides and containers.

this is the first chance I have had to get out the house and come down this way to search for this great new series
I was pleased to find we were FTF
thanks for the cache
