Description

Paradise Peninsula - Sandford

This cache has been placed to celebrate a new Geocaching Australia type and is the first GeoArt placed in Tasmania.

It is called a GeoArt geocache. This new geocache type is a sub type of a traditional geocache where the phsycal geocache container is at the published co-ordinates. In adddition to the published co-ordinates an additional set of co-ordinates are required which will place a map marker in order to display your GeoArt.

The caches have been placed in the general area of "Paradise Peninsula" (as called by the locals) which starts at Lauderdale and ends at Opossum Bay. It is also the area we have called home for over 33 years.  Here you can play BOWLS, golf, fish, go boating, surf, kayak, mountain bike plus many other activities and of course plenty of GEOCACHES to find.

I hope you enjoy the series.

Please bring your own pen.

Parking at end of Kainlani Way, (off Gellibrand Drive) Sandford. Can access Tangara trail from here.

Hello whitewebbs thank you for the cache.

This was another quick find by EeePees as I was looking past it.

Another great afternoon caching with EeePees.

Hi whitewebbs, thanks for the cache and this geoArt series.
Yes, it is a little unusual for us to be geocaching down this way in the daylight, but we are.
We parked at the end of Kaintani Way, and it was just a short walk to GZ. I found the cache quickly, while AlbyDangles (said he was) birdwatching.
Found with AlbyDangles, on a semi-impromptu caching afternoon.
Cheers, EPs.

out and about caching by myself for shots for the GCA Battleship game, easy find with clues. TFTC TNLN log dry only 4 mines to go so close. lots of single cell ocean to hit.

Loved the rustic fence rails on either side of the road here, hope they do them everywhere but this is such a lengthy track that it's probably not possible.
Spotted this one straight away thanks to the generous clues.
Thanks.

Today was a rare family free day in the south of the state so we thought we'd have a go at some of the caches in the South Arm area. This geoart was published about the same time we were down here last and has been on the to do list ever since. We tackled the caches out of order but in a sequence that made sense for us. We really enjoyed the series, the different hides and the fact that there was parking handy to each of them. Our first geoart finds, woohoo! Thanks for the caches and the series

Thanks for this Geoart series Whitewebbs. Today was a lovely day to look for caches in this area, so the GeoGSP and I headed out for an afternoon of sunshine, visiting beaches and finding caches.
Another part of the Tangara Trail we hadn't walked before! Thanks for the hint here, would have struggled without. Thanks for adding to the geocaches in the area.

After continuing further along the point to find a few other caches we made our way back to complete the loop and hopefully find the last two caches in your series.

After a peaceful short walk we arrived near the hide. Thanks to a generous hint we soon had the container located and the log signed.

Thanks for this cache Whitewebbs. There must have been a little rain over night as the potholes in the parking area were full of water.

this is the first chance I have had to get out the house and come down this way to search for this great new series
I was pleased to find we were FTF
