Description
Paradise Peninsula - Sandford
This cache has been placed to celebrate a new Geocaching Australia type and is the first GeoArt placed in Tasmania.
It is called a GeoArt geocache. This new geocache type is a sub type of a traditional geocache where the phsycal geocache container is at the published co-ordinates. In adddition to the published co-ordinates an additional set of co-ordinates are required which will place a map marker in order to display your GeoArt.
The caches have been placed in the general area of "Paradise Peninsula" (as called by the locals) which starts at Lauderdale and ends at Opossum Bay. It is also the area we have called home for over 33 years. Here you can play BOWLS, golf, fish, go boating, surf, kayak, mountain bike plus many other activities and of course plenty of GEOCACHES to find.
I hope you enjoy the series.
Please bring your own pen.
Parking at end of Kainlani Way, (off Gellibrand Drive) Sandford. Can access Tangara trail from here.

This one took a little time to find as we had to wait for a very young muggle to continue her bike ride as she was waiting for here dad to catch up.
Once the track was clear it was an easy find.

Yes, it is a little unusual for us to be geocaching down this way in the daylight, but we are.
After finding #5, we mosied along to this one. This is a nice track that I'd not walked before, so thanks for bringing me here. Interesting that there are parallel tracks here! Just as we arrived at GZ, a young girl (quite young) came out from a nearby property lane on her bike, and propped here against a sign.
Mmm, best we move on until she moves on. Eventually dad caught up and they left together so we returned and made acquick find.
Found with AlbyDangles, on a semi-impromptu caching afternoon.
Cheers, EPs.
Thanks.
TFTC and the “X marks the spot” GeoArt series Whitewebbs!

Another part of the Tangara Trail that we hadn't walked before - thanks for adding to the caches in the area.
A great series with a variety of hides that we enjoyed finding.
Many thanks whitewebbs for creating and maintaining this series, a must do when in the area.
Geo Kid E went one way and I went the other way to halve the time
Returned today to try and finish this series
Enjoyed finding them all, even in todays heat
Sainted this one at 1400 hours
TFTC and cheers

Thanks for this cache and the excitement Whitewebbs. We met a small truck coming down the track when we were on our way out. We managed to successfully pass one another. It would probably be safer to follow the CO's instructions and walk down the trail. We spotted the access sign when we reached the start of the track we had followed.
Thanks whitewebbs
I was pleased to find we were FTF
thanks for the cache
