Description

Paradise Peninsula - South Arm

This cache has been placed to celebrate a new Geocaching Australia type and is the first GeoArt placed in Tasmania.

It is called a GeoArt geocache. This new geocache type is a sub type of a traditional geocache where the phsycal geocache container is at the published co-ordinates. In adddition to the published co-ordinates an additional set of co-ordinates are required which will place a map marker in order to display your GeoArt.

The caches have been placed in the general area of "Paradise Peninsula" (as called by the locals) which starts at Lauderdale and ends at Opossum Bay. It is also the area we have called home for over 33 years.  Here you can play BOWLS, golf, fish, go boating, surf, kayak, mountain bike plus many other activities and of course plenty of GEOCACHES to find.

I hope you enjoy the series.

Cache has been placed at the parking for the horse/walking trail to Calverts Lagoon Conservation Area.

Please bring your own pen, parking available at GZ just off South Arm Road.

Hi whitewebbs, thanks for the cache, and the geoArt series, that we're finally making a start on.

Found on a nighttime geocaching adventure with AlbyDangles, in lieu of our usual boys night out for dinner.

We parked almost on top of it, so a nice quick find.

Cheers, EPs.

First cache for the day and a quick find. Should be heading home today but a phone call last night to get the animals checked at home has given us another day and night and hopefully a few more caches tomorrow before leaving.
Thanks.

Today was a rare family free day in the south of the state so we thought we'd have a go at some of the caches in the South Arm area. This geoart was published about the same time we were down here last and has been on the to do list ever since. We tackled the caches out of order but in a sequence that made sense for us. We really enjoyed the series, the different hides and the fact that there was parking handy to each of them. Our first geoart finds, woohoo! Thanks for the caches and the series

Thanks for this Geoart series Whitewebbs. Today was a lovely day to look for caches in this area, so the GeoGSP and I headed out for an afternoon of sunshine, visiting beaches and finding caches.
Another quick find at GZ - cache is all in good order.

Again we enjoyed the safe off road parking near this cache. We used a walking pole to help retrieve the container as we couldn't see if there was anything hiding in the cutting grass. All was well with the container and contents.

Thanks for another cache in your GeoArt series Whitewebbs. We had intended to check to see if X did, in fact mark each spot but unfortunately memory failed and we forgot to check.

this is the first chance I have had to get out the house and come down this way to search for this great new series
I was pleased to find we were FTF
thanks for the cache
