Description

Hidden as Part of the GeoArt games.

This Series will take you on along the road from the Mt Gnomon carpark towards Mt Duncan on Ironcliffe road, some of this road is accessable by a 2wd but there are other parts that will require some ground clearance,

A 4x4 will make all these caches a driveby, but it would also be a pleasant walk from the Mt Gnomon carpark.

All caches are no more than 3m from the track in this series and have a pen or pencil, a logbook and a stash note.

GPS Quality maybe inconsistent in this area. Take note of the Hint to aid in your search.

RHS and LHS are referenced when walking from Gnomon to Duncan

Day two of our geoart weekend as it seems to have turned into. Overcast and a bit drizzly today but that's the coin flip.
A quick and easy for the last of the run before bouncing our way back out. Thanks for the nice drive.

Bored this morning so I took a drive up to to the Dial Range to do a spot of fishing. Easy find with the hint. Time to go home. TFTC Clan Cerberus

The last for us in this series and what a great set of caches it was.
Seatbelts were finally put back on and we drove a little further to turn at the Mt Duncan trail head.
Wish we had thought to note the time that we started but it certainly didn't seem to take long to do this series.
Mr Beetle is pretty sure that this road was originally the train track to Riana.
Overall the clues led us quickly to each find and after the Garmin got us in the general area the ETrek was fairly quickly abandoned as the clues were so specific.
Just wish we had remembered the Wet Ones and I suggest anyone tackling this series in the future bring some along as many of the containers were dirty to handle.
Thanks DEZ055 for creating this series which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Hi dez055
An early morning start, meeting up with the Blue Flier at 0630 hours for a Sundey trip to the NW Coast
Crossed the middle of Tasmania, collecting GAs and Gcs on the way
The objectives for the day were "Sailboat Geoart", "F Fairway GeoArt" and the "Lighting Bolt GeoArt" series
This cache was found and Sainted at 1200 hours with Budge
Found this road and scenery very interesting, especially when the motor bikes went past
The ferns were great
Thanks for placing the cache for our enjoyment
Cheers OldSaint

Another Sunday trip to the Northwest coast to grab GCA caches with Oldsaint. Certainly, a day that I kept Oldsaint moving the whole day as he collected 50 GCA caches during the day. Personally, I think I found slightly more, including a couple of puzzles that I had solved but not collected.

The trip started at a leisurely 6.30 am and while going over the highland route we started our first of three major GCA trails at 10.30. The trip over the highlands was worth the detour, with a First to find at the "Bridge over Ouse" and a WhereIgo that I had solved for the central highlands a long time ago. The three main runs we took on today, were the "Challenging" Sailboat Geoart, the "tricky" F Fairway and the "very clever" Lighting bolt caches. I have to say that the lighting bolt caches had a cache design I had never seen before, so was an absolute highlight.

Thank you for placing these caches for our enjoyment

Thank you for this great series of caches

Hi Dez055...the gpsr was all over the place at times but with exc hints soon zoned into gz where another blank log enabled a FTF.
Surprising how quickly it gets light....now able to drive without the headlights on.
On the way out the sun was starting to filter through the forest.
Many thanks for the series...very much appreciated....having a ball out here and caching in the darkness made it an awesome experience...cheers ST.
