Description

Kittykatch and Smittengranny have worked together to put this geoart on Lake Ginninderra.

John Knight Memorial Park is a large 12 hectare park located on the eastern foreshores of Lake Ginninderra and is accessible from Aikman Drive. Park facilities include picnic areas, barbecue facilities, public toilets, fitness equipment, playgrounds, a disc golf course and a fixed orienteering course.

The geocache is a traditional geocache style hide where the published co-ordinates are the location of the geocache itself. There are a second set of coordinates in the cache which indicate where the icon that makes up the geoart is located. There is no puzzle to complete - go to the cache coordinates to find the container.

The physical hides will be found around Lake Ginninderra and should take you about an hour to complete each set.

Out with Just a cacher for a cache maintenance run and we decided to grab a cache or two while we were out and about.

A quick find here today to remedy our failure from last time.

Thanks for the cache Kittykatch.

We had to wait for several muggles to move on before searching for this cache. Our GPS pointed us towards the hide and we soon found the container. Container and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for this cache in your GeoArt Series Kittykatch. There are certainly plenty of play equipment to cater children of all ages .

#GA5266 - 09:15; A plan was hatched a few days ago with Sol de lune to tackle the two GeoArt series on the shores of Lake Ginninderra and today was the day. Set off from John Knight Park on the bikes and made our way around this series in reverse order. A nice easy ride and most of the caches were quickly and easily located and signed. Top job getting this series out there! Apologies for the generic logs Rolling Eyes TFTC Kittykatch Very HappyClan Cerberus

Out with LuckyL10n today to tackle these GeoArt series of caches. Started at the car park of John Knight park and slowly cycled our way around the lake. No real issues other than a couple taking a few minutes to locate, however the good news all were found. A great morning to be out, but as was we mentioned, there always seems to be a head wind when the bikes come out. ShockedShocked

Thanks KK...great to see the new cache type here in Canberra...well done on getting it done. Very HappyVery Happy

The warning regarding muggles was very timely as there was a trio of frisbee players passing GZ. I am sure that I have been here before. Was it the same cache container? TFTC SL ClappingClappingClan CerberusClan CerberusVery HappyVery HappyClan CerberusClan Cerberus
