Description
To log a find on this cache post a photo of your favourite Tool Of The Trade being useful whilst locating a cache.
Photos just of your favourite TOTT are not acceptable unless it is actually being used in the retrieval of a cache.
However do not give details or the whereabouts of the cache which might be considered to be a spoiler.
There's lots of different types of TOTTs out there, looking for a wide variety.
Congratulations youngoldfella on FTF

my main TOTT is my garmin etrex 30x gps. it guides you to all caches even remote ones accuratley, has all the hint and geocache data in the palm of your hand.
In Townsville we teamed up with Davinells and a few others to attach 'the other' . It required a few attempts and a LOT of patience

Using my walking stick in the pursuit of a cache. It not only aids my walking, but is very useful for poking things, moving things aside and thumping on the ground.

My fave TOTT would have to be my phone
not only in navigating to said cache
but taking photos of cache and logs
looking in holes before shoving my hand in.
looking under ledges in search of cache

Thanks to Cybergran V fir this opportunity to share an image of Mr S's feet in the kayak.
This was taken on one of a few journeys down the Barwon River.
We have to borrow this TOTT and we appreciate the kindness of the owner of the Kayak to help us out.
There is something special about being on a calm stretch of water with no one else about apart from hawks, jumping fish and beautiful views.

I cache using my phone, but MrT prefers his GPS, a Garmin GPS Map 62.
He downloads all the info and the hints. It worked best on our recent trip to Newnes, where I had no phone signal. He was able to use his GPS with all the pre trip downloaded info.
Photo taken of his GPS, our trip mascot Bowra, and his well worn hat.

We could not agree about which our TOTTs was the most useful. So we have included two in this log.
Mrs y'stassie has a safety pin attached to her car keys for extracting pesky nano logs and similarly small items. Mr y'stasie's favourite TOTT is an extendable ladder. It collapses down to 80cm, extends to 4.0m and can stand on the floor between the back seat and the drivers seat making it easily accessible when required.
Photos of both TOTTs in action are attached to this log.
Thanks Cybergran V for the cache.

Thanks Cybergran V Our two favourite TOTTs are our old GPSMap62 and my kayak. We have all the other standards but the GPS is our most favourite as we find it much more accurate and friendly for getting to caches in all sorts of areas.
This photo is one that was a requirement to find an Earthcache.

Sure, I'll show you my TOTTs!
Just need to find a family friendly pic.... There must be one here some where...
My first and favourite would be my eTrex10 that +Wife bought for me after finding my first cache.
The other fav is definitely the walking poles which were a gift from our youngest son.
I also have a PLB which my eldest son gave me for my 60th birthday but no pic of this in use finding a cache, and hopefully there never will be!
Thanks for the chance to get my TOTTs out Val. (You can thank that son of yours for this log) lol

One of my favourite TOTTs is a kayak. This photo was taken in Qld on our way to an interesting cache hide.... GZ was at the same place as a golf hole. Thanks Cybergran V.

Hi Cybergran
My FAVOURITE TOTT is my camera
There's not been a physical cache that I have not taken a photo of
However, when using the camera, how do you take a photo of it being used?
This photo depicts OldSaint using his camera while in the act of recording a scene at the GZ of a cache in New Town
TFTC and cheers

I've had a couple of these garmin oregons.
I use the iPhone mostly urban.
But if I'm out on day release they are great.
Especially when I hit the bush.
On the weekend I took this shot in Mt Macedon.
Used it for a few caches and waymarks.

We have had many adventures and caches where we needed a variety of TOTTs.
Here is one of my favourites.
We missed out on so many caches that were out of our reach near The Rock while we were over East.
Now we have our Big Red, a very helpful TOTT that we can fit in the Ute while we explore.
Our photo is attached.
Thanks for the Locationless Cache Cybergran V

Thank you for this being part of the February Challenge. This is my latest and favourite TOTT being used to extract a cache container from a non climbing cache. Tree fishing is popular up in this area of Queensland at the moment. I have a 8 m Surf Pole and a 9 meter SQUID Pole both telescopic and pack down to 1 meter in length for storage. The last piece of rod has been removed and a 6 mm piece of dowel used instead with an adapted hook on the end for placement and retrieval. TFTL

My favourite Tool Of The Trade is actually my son dalerious who can reach things that I can no longer obtain myself.
But my second favourite TOTT is this extendable ladder which has been put into active service on so many occasions.
