Had a driver today which made it quicker and easier to get the caches in this series. All caches had a great pull off area so driver was happy. Great hints led to a fairly quick find for most of the caches. All caches in good condition even though we have had a spate of wet weather. TFTC and a well designed geoart .

A quick find was made here and I wondered whether this was the one that a few cachers couldn't find and stopped for a successful second look on the way out.
Mr Beetle walked straight to this one but I think the extra notes we made from the logs of others definitely helped here.
Thanks.

Oh dear! After a reasonable search was made no cache was in hand so I decided to leave it for the return journey. On my return I stopped here for lunch and after a few minutes search made the find. Very HappyVery Happy That completes the 23 finds of the Sailboat Geoart Series. Thank you DEZ055 for a great day's outing. Just six more on my hit list between here and home. Very Happy

The GPS was very erratic at this spot leading us a merry old search. We went up and in then along and down but could not spot anything that fitted the clue. Back up we went as the GPS now said 9m further up the road. In and across but still nothing of interest. Finally we decided to move on and have another look on the way back. As usual Mrs Y'stassie did her just one last look before we go and she spotted the container in the low fork of a tree under a fallen log. When she removed the container she spotted a small flat rock near by. After signing the log and replacing the container she put the rock infront of it.

Thanks for this cache DEZ055. We thought it was going to be a DNF but no. We found the container about 25m from the point where we started our search. When she found the cache and checked her GPS it said 3m. We have noticed that GPSs can take a while to settle in this area.

A Day out with Oldsaint finding some GCA caches for the new Blitz Event. The day was amazing, from snow to blue sky, from heavy showers to dry roads. One leach to report though!
Started the day at 6am, although Oldsaint had driven from Huonville by then. The drive north was interesting, and even though Symons Plains had a race day on, nobody was there at 8am
Proceeded directly to our main target, the Sail Boat Geoart, and completed about 9 before the heavy shower set in, so we decided we could drive to the last during the shower and work our way back. At the last we we greeted by a large amount of snow on the sides of the road, and throughout the tree. We occasionally got "snow balled" from trees above as we were caching. Great day out.

According to the rules of Blitz
Blitz is a dragonZone encounter where you find as many unique valid dragonZone geocaches as you can during a set period of time in an attempt to earn a reward.
Rewards are in the form of dragonZone points but are only awarded if the entire team of geocaches who are playing dragonZone combine to exceed the total number of finds required.
If the entire team of geocachers who are playing dragonZone reach or exceed the total number of finds required then at the end of the game you will receive a number of dZ points based on your percentage contribution of unique finds.

For example:
Make 1% of the total finds, receive 1% of the total rewards points.
Make 5% of the total finds, receive 5% of the total rewards points.
Make 10% of the total finds, receive 10% of the total rewards points.

dZPoints will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The more unique geocaches you find the more you are rewarded.
Geocaches you find during the game must have been hidden and published prior to the game announcement.

Hi dez
An early morning start had us head for this series which was our Main objective for the day
Found a few other caches on the way to this series
We were going to do them in order until we hit snow about half way up the road
The weather cracked about there, so it was up to the last hoping the rain may stop by the time we arrived there and then , Budge and I would work our way back down
This was Sainted at 0959 hours
A quick find was had on most of the caches
TFTC, TFTS and cheers

Out and about caching in the area with Tassie Trekkers collecting this well designed geoart series. It has been a long time since we have driven on this road. We appreciated the parking spots and very generous hints as we cached up the road. 6 out 6 geoart series now completed. TFTGA
