Had a driver today which made it quicker and easier to get the caches in this series. All caches had a great pull off area so driver was happy. Great hints led to a fairly quick find for most of the caches. All caches in good condition even though we have had a spate of wet weather. TFTC and a well designed geoart .

As we approached this one we noticed 3 cars were pulled up at the creek and quite a few muggles hanging around. So we parked and waited and then waited some more. The drizzle was getting heavier and we thought they would leave but they seemed to be taking photos and milling about.
Finally they left and all gave us an odd look as they drove past.
We grabbed the cache as soon as they left and then went to the creek to see what they were up to. Then we felt bad for cursing having to wait for so long for them as they had obviously been scattering ashes and attaching a memorial plaque to a rock there. Did think it would be a great place to spread ashes as despite the drizzle the creek is a very pretty spot.
Thanks.

Another old bridge remains that would be unobserved by the passing motorist. I soon located the well hidden cache. Very Happy

lovely little waterfall next to this cache. Spending a few days in the area with Carsten so we thought we'd try to bowl this series before a cave tour. Thanks for the cache DEZ055

This was a really lovely spot and thoroughly deserved a cache. There was a steady stream of water gurgling its was over the rocks and under the road. The green foliage on the trees and the vivid green mosses lit up the area. Then there were the old logs and posts, now host to a myriad of mosses and little plants that added to the magic. Mrs Y'stassie had to be reminded to look for the cache as after she stopped taking photos she headed back to the car.
The GPS took us straight to the hide area and we spotted one place that warranted closer inspection. We were soon signing the log and carefully putting everything back together.

Thanks for this cache DEZ055 and for showing us this beautiful little spot. Definitely a favourite for this visit. The selection of the hiding spot means that cachers looking for this cache should not damage the structures or the mossy coverings.

A Day out with Oldsaint finding some GCA caches for the new Blitz Event. The day was amazing, from snow to blue sky, from heavy showers to dry roads. One leach to report though!
Started the day at 6am, although Oldsaint had driven from Huonville by then. The drive north was interesting, and even though Symons Plains had a race day on, nobody was there at 8am
Proceeded directly to our main target, the Sail Boat Geoart, and completed about 9 before the heavy shower set in, so we decided we could drive to the last during the shower and work our way back. At the last we we greeted by a large amount of snow on the sides of the road, and throughout the tree. We occasionally got "snow balled" from trees above as we were caching. Great day out.

According to the rules of Blitz
Blitz is a dragonZone encounter where you find as many unique valid dragonZone geocaches as you can during a set period of time in an attempt to earn a reward.
Rewards are in the form of dragonZone points but are only awarded if the entire team of geocaches who are playing dragonZone combine to exceed the total number of finds required.
If the entire team of geocachers who are playing dragonZone reach or exceed the total number of finds required then at the end of the game you will receive a number of dZ points based on your percentage contribution of unique finds.

For example:
Make 1% of the total finds, receive 1% of the total rewards points.
Make 5% of the total finds, receive 5% of the total rewards points.
Make 10% of the total finds, receive 10% of the total rewards points.

dZPoints will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.
The more unique geocaches you find the more you are rewarded.
Geocaches you find during the game must have been hidden and published prior to the game announcement.

Hi dez
An early morning start had us head for this series which was our Main objective for the day
Found a few other caches on the way to this series
We were going to do them in order until we hit snow about half way up the road
The weather cracked about there, so it was up to the last hoping the rain may stop by the time we arrived there and then , Budge and I would work our way back down
This was Sainted at 1040 hours
A quick find was had on most of the caches
TFTC, TFTS and cheers

Out and about caching in the area with Tassie Trekkers collecting this well designed geoart series. It has been a long time since we have driven on this road. We appreciated the parking spots and very generous hints as we cached up the road. 6 out 6 geoart series now completed. TFTGA

This cache was at a small landing/ramp...most likeky to offload a dozer or similar.
Looked too small to be a log landing but could well of been.
An easy find with a ftf bonus.
Many tftc...much appreciated...cheers ST.
