Ive seen lots of BIG attractions over years, but decided to do the big fish, as I stopped there recently on my way home from Adelaide. This time it was wearing a Moustache for "Movember". TFFC

POOCHERA SOUTH AUSTRALIA
I have visited Bog Things in all states and the ACT and have numerous photos. I have chosen the Big Any at Poochera South Australia. This is located near the Roadhouse and is a model of the dinosaur ant which was thought to be extinct and rediscovered near here.

BIG RED is located in the main street at BIRCHIP in the Mallee region of Victoria.
We have stopped off in this town a few times for coffee and lunch on our travels.
This is an image from a few years ago. Big Red is certainly BIG!!!!!!!
As King of the mob, "Big Red" was a magnificent creature, strong of physique, colourful and resourceful with a cunning which enabled him to survive droughts, the elements, his hunters and his rivals. The saying "Fit as a Mallee Bull" is universally accepted as embodying all those characteristics which "Big Red"displayed in the animal kingdom.
As one of the earliest settled areas of the Mallee, Birchip can justifiably lay claim to "Home of the Mallee Bull". Taken from The Year that Was 2020 compiled by John Richmond with input from the Birchip Community
Thanks to OldSaint for this opportunity to share this icon.

We have seen so many BIG things in our travels with our favourites being the Big Penguin in Tasmania and the big koala somewhere in Victoria. Apart from that there has been a big banana, apple, mango, pineapple, galah, lobster, koala, rocking horse, snake......and so on.
The one we have decided to use for this cache is the big crocodile at Wyndham, in Western Australia.

Miss Shifter at the Big Murray Cod in Swan Hill. This was taken after we have been at the Murray Bridge Mega event.
The Big Banana, Coffs Harbour
Although we have seen many BIG icons, this Big is the one I have visited the most in my lifetime!
When I was young my parents took me there and I got a banana keyring!
We used to visit MrT's mum just north of Brisbane every year, usually in the July school holls. Coffs Harbour was my halfway/overnight stay. ClimbingSon and MusoSon grew up stopping by and playing on, or riding, whatever was there at the time. They loved the toboggan the most.
Now they have grown up and moved on with their lives. We haven't been that way for a long time.
Thanks for the BIG challenge

The Big Cheese at Bodalla.
We are holidaying in Narooma at the moment and I stopped here to grab a Sol de lune GC cache. Clearly, the Big Cheese is in need of some TLC.

This is our photo of a ‘big thing’ if you look at the base you will see the comparison of myself against the statue. Our photo was taken on Tuesday, 31 March 2009. You can find it located on the Stuart Highway, about 135 km north of Alice Springs and some 370 km south of Tennant Creek, at Aileron, a welcoming roadhouse rest stop in Anmatjere Country. Aileron is also home to the striking giant figure of the ‘Anmatjere Man’. Erected on 11th December 2005, the sculpture by Mark Egan stands at 12 metres high (the figure) with the spear tip taking it to 17 metre, it weighs 8 tonne.
After 3 long years by himself, ‘Anmatjere Man’ finally has a family. Also created by the same sculptor Mark Egan, ‘Anmatjere Man’ has been joined by a wife and child, being erected in December 2008. Unlike the original piece which took Mark Egan a year to create, ‘Anmatjere Woman and Child’ took only four months. We used to travel this road on our way to work at Ali Curung.

I have visited a few big things over the years. One of my favourites is the The Big Trout at Adaminaby in NSW. I visited with my parents and siblings quite a while ago, so it’s a happy memory. I also loved the name of the town- Adaminaby. Doesn’t it just roll off your tongue?!

We did a quick check and counted over 20 big things that we have visited, ranging across every state and territory in Australia and the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Our favourite remains the one closest to home, "The Big Penguin" in Penguin because with the help of volunteers the Big Penguin gets a new suit of clothes on significant occasions such as Anzac Day, Breast Cancer Awareness and Easter. The photo added to the Gallery is of Mrs y'stassie standing next to the Big Penguin decked out in its Christmas gear. Thanks for the challenge and cache.
We have seen many ‘BIG’ icons on our travels. Pineapple, Banana, Mango, Yabby, Galah, Ram, Crocodile, Bull, Koala, Snake, Rocking Horse and no doubt several others that don’t spring to mind at the moment. However while staying in the South East of SA during Covid we have passed ‘Larry the Lobster’ many times in the coastal town of Kingston SA.
Larry was installed in Dec 1979, is made of steel and fibreglass and stands 17 metres tall. I reckon you’d get quite a few seafood meals out of him
Many thanks for the challenge OldSaint

Thank you for this BIG challenge. In Gayndah in the North Burnett there is the Big Orange so I was up in Mundubbera and they have the Big Mandarin. Image attached. The North Burnett in Queensland inland from Bundaberg is a major Citrus fruit growing area. I have been to the Big Pineapple and the Big Orange and the Big Prawn and the Big Coconut and the Big rocking Chair and many other BIG tourist icons over the years.
