Description
Cache is a small black screwtop with bison tube and biro .
An interesting spot you would think unlikely on the Gog Range.
The pools are around 200m in length and surrounded by dense scrub,
Take notice of the forest change as you travel east...getting noticeably wetter with pockets of myrtle etc,
Access is along a 4wd track which starts off the junction of Gog Road and Union Bridge Road @ S41 29.579 E 146 21.186
The track initialy goes up through a recently logged coupe then back into native forest. Stay on the track south as it passes the turnoff up to the Gog trig pt., then take the track east at the next junction.
Stay on this main ridgeline track all the way to gz.
For those with 4wd you can easily get to and park at S41 30.306 E146 21.876 where the cache is an easy walk of 1hr return. I don't reccommend proceeding further as the track has a severe washout about 200m further on with poor turning ability. If you proceed further its at your own risk.
For those without 4wd it will be a 3.5 hr plus return walk.
Enjoy the trek!
