Description

Our first "stationary" GCA cache - our contribution to the 10th anniversary celebrations of Australian geocaching.

We have placed "Anniversary Stash" in Whiteman Park, where if you are prepared to walk a bit further you can find some GC caches as well.

Hepburn Avenue is not open at the time of placing the cache but it will be soon. Until then we recommend parking on Northbridge Drive and getting onto the footpath next to Hepburn and walking down to the pedestrian gate into the park.

The cache is a regular sistema containing the usual bits and pieces. There is a prize and a certificate for the FTF and a certificate for 2TF. There are finders' cards for anyone who wishes to take one.

Oh, and Happy 10th Anniversary.

Chwiliwr took us out for a drive and we called in to find this cache on our travels. Was a bit of a hot walk from where Chwiliwr parked but it was shady at ground zero to compensate. Found the cache without problems.

Log was signed with a group name and cache returned as found.

Thanks AusTrackers for the cache.

Well its been a long long while since I have been caching, so it was good to get out and about, and start ticking off the many new caches close to me since I last went.
A nice easy find to kick start me again. TFTC

Was a bit worried about Hepburn being so busy at peak hour but found a little bit of a pull off and a quick and easy find from then. I'm sure a few wondered what I was up to wandering off into the paddock Shoes full of sand! Laughing

Still in brilliant condition and a few great swaps. Took a little puzzle and left a little something.

Thanks for the cache AusTrackers! Smile

TFTC Austrackers parked on Hepburn and made the short walk to the cache and found it in the first spot i looked. Still in good order. ClappingClapping

Parked on side of road, Hepburn Ave. Into park via the walk-through entry. Found container quite quickly, just had to shake off a large spider. Have removed the black plastic bag that has perished badly. Was an easier walk and find than I had anticipated. TFTC!

Actually found this a few years ago and decided to check if it was still there.
Still is and in good condition with no other logs since my last one.

Wow, found it over a year since the last visit. Cache in great condition. Glad to have at last visited this one as I drive past every day. Wonderful morning to be out in the bush. Tftc!

10-Jun-12
Out to clean up all the caches in the Callarabardee 'Farm' Reserve.
Very wild, wet and blustery day, but managed to find all 11 caches and remain reasonably dry.

Dropped by with the usual crew, parking at the Hepburn Ave entrance to the park to grab the four caches here (three GC and one GCA). Seems we were not too far behind Ozcrawf for these. Caution - ticks spotted. TFTC!

Thanks for the cache.

I made this one a hard one for myself as I decided to ride the geobike from Mussel Pool along the limestone tracks but they went no closer than 600m so I had to push the geobike thru soft sand to the cache, but I got there in the end Dancing

Third to find? Wow Smile Cool!

Enjoyed the walk over here, despite the wind and driving rains, and made a quick & easy find.

Also, the new Hepburn Ave is excellent for riding your bike along since there's no cars to run you over! Hope it stays this way for a while lol.

Thanks for the cache.

Parked over on Northbridge climbed the hessian covered bank, and strolled down the middle of the new highway extension..very strange walking down the middle of an unused highway!..
Was delighted to find a 2nd to find certificate, we gave it to my 6 year old step Grandson who was delighted!
Took a toy Lizard and left a coaster.
Thanks for the cache here.
