Description
With the Perseverance rover's successul landing on Mars on 18th February 2021, this geoart is themed to celebrate space exploration.
The geoart navigating pin points to the Uralla Satellite Tracking Station. Relocated from Guam, this is a critical component of a global network of earth station facilities used to control satellites through launch and transfer orbit to the satellites intended locations.
The Uralla facility is also essential in providing communications during a satellite's initial in-orbit testing.
Perseverance
Unfortunately it's impossible to locate the geoart any closer to the Tracking Station as the closer you get the less you see.
Ever wondered why this is called Hawthorn Drive? There are hawthorns everywhere... take care to keep away from them. You are looking for a largish small jar painted black containing log, pencil and pen.

Logs
I have just downy the last couple of days wandering through waterfall country. so amazing! here the water was still falling but not down gorges like Wollomombi.
Thanks for this geoart trail. unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, my food has just arrived so I'm going to copy and paste my found logs which include a couple of FTFs I believe.
thanks.
Thanks anyway geono....still enjoying the country side.
