Description

2000 to 2010 = 10 years of Geocaching in Australia

Australia's first ever cache, Lane Cove GC3E, was hidden on 18-May-2000, so 18-May-2010 sees the 10th anniversary of geocaching in Australia.

The 2L container has been hidden within  the very peaceful Lakes Memorial Park Cemetery in an obvious spot.

There is a ring of some of my pathtags as a FTF prize.

I have had a few goes at getting this one - the first time it was after closing time and there was no way in for me. The second time a crowd was gathered near GZ and today I was in luck. A quick find. All good at GZ

A very quick find. The cache was exposed so covered it better. It also had a little water in it so drained it out, log book was safe and dry. Thanks for the hide urch.

GCA 1652. Found during a work visit to the West.

Went for a big looping drive after work today grabbing some GCA caches. First find for the day. I had to wait some muggles who were clearly'visiting' someone and I sure didn't want to disturb them. 15 minutes later they left and I headed over for a quick find.

TFTC !!

A quick find after having waited for a car (parked on the road just outside) to leave. It didn't and I got tired of waiting, then it left shortly afterwards. SL - No Swaps. This is my first physical GCA find for quite some time. Thanks to Urch for the cache.

Headed out with young DangerMouse09 for a bike ride this morning, we parked closeby for the ride & stopped to find this cache first up! I had been in this cemetery prior to the visit today, but had not thought to check for any GCA caches... Managed to track down the cache, although it was somewhat covered after not being found for so long Mr. Green

TFTC urch... Cache was in good condition and dry, hopefully it won't be so long in between now & the next visitor Rolling EyesVery HappyRolling Eyes

Doing the rounds of Mandurah today to tidy up our unfound caches.
Hadn't been to this area before. Container had water in it, wiped out as best we cold, however the log book is dry.

24-Jan-11
One of the last finds for the day & unfortunately the front gate was shut, so had to take the side route in. The cache had some water problems again, so Urch performed maintenance while I signed the log. The cache was then returned to a slightly higher position that will hopefully keep it drier. TFTC Urch.

Found the cache without any problems - it was a little wet inside so we dried it out. The log book was fine in its zip lock bag. Thanks urch, another GCA cache for our quest to reach 100.

Well that is the easiest Urch cache that I have ever found!! On a beautiful and warm winters day I decided to grab this one on my way to Pinjarra. The find was very quick and in such a beautiful and peaceful place. Except for the mosquito drone that is. Unfortunately the cache had some water in it which was soon drained away.

T - Varuna pathtag
L - Calling card and dinosaur

Called in to log this cache after visiting relations in Mandurah. It seems that there will be long times between visits as I was 2nd to find. Cache is in good condition.

Took two of Varuna's pathtags.

Thanks for the cache.

I started to wonder as to why no one has come to find this cache within the beautiful and peaceful Lakes Memorial Park Cemetery - too good to be missed. Here I came. Loved the place. Took a FTF prize and left 3 of my pathtags. Thanks to urch for the cache, Prize, and lovely location. Happy birthday to Geocaching.com.
