Description

A good view of the Kaikorai Stream Estuary.

The cache name comes from the fact that, while hiding the cache, I became aware that below me there was a birdwatcher, brandishing a camera with an incredibly long lens, photographing birds on the water of the estuary.  It wasn't the first time I have seen birdwatchers doing that here.

If you're tempted to climb the roadside bank then be aware that there is definitely an easier route.

Bison. BYOP.

Bison tubes are watertight thanks to a sealing O-ring. Overtightening the tube can damage this seal and allow water in so please just nip it up snugly.

This took quite some time to find - a matter of getting through to check each section - eventually spotted it, not at hint object but slid along. Clay pigeon shooting in progress, ftom the sounds.

A very well maintained cemetery, I was impressed. It does need more rubbish bins though, not for the occupants but for the motorists zoofing past.

There was more evidence of inhumations than I would have thought. Several recently occupied plots, and one spouse was reunited with her husband after 35 years. Imagine that: 35 years. There are whole marriages that don't last that long.

Anyways, the cache itself was located without issues, and it is in excellent shape. Thank you for placing it Smile

Was out and about and remembered there was a GCA cache in the area so made a stop and thought I was approaching from the easy direction. Realised halfway that it wasn't the case so rectified the situation and found the cache without any issues once at GZ. Decent view from GZ. Thanks! Very Happy

Chasing down the shiniest newest GCA *FTF* bisons in Dunnas as a pleasant interlude while entertaining the Welcoming Committee going out of their way to make new cacheri feel right at home with all their warm responses. A cemetery in the early morning was just as inviting traipsing around the burial plots looking for the right access to reach the bison at the GZ without getting scalped or skewered. A cemetery not unfamiliar to bisons, film cams and wet pill cans. GC75R06 - the CO's premium bison found whilst a basic member when the cache bumped me on my nose ha ha, GC3DFX7 Salute!! a film can searched but not found and a wet pillcan GC6PJTA that kept getting mower munched. Logged the cache where it hung and found the easier track down to the road light pole were the pony was parked close by. Thank you wery much for these new caches U.N.C.L.E. See you on the trails.
