Description

Tenacitree - Caroline Springs Walk

The tenacity of the tree (hence the tenacitree) growing after it had fallen in the past add shape and colour to an otherwise straight growing specimen.

Caroline Springs, just 25km west of Melbourne is a thriving community with a great trail of paths and walkways between the artificial lakes, ponds and creeks. Set in 800 hectares of grazing land Caroline Springs was developed on greenfield land since starting in 1999. At the north of the suburb is the town square and main shopping centre known as CS Square, and a man-made lake known as Lake Caroline. This series of geocaches takes you along some of the lesser-known pathways around various creeks and waterways on the edge of Caroline Springs.

The cache you seek is a 400ml Sistema container painted to blend into the surrounds. Always be aware of snakes around water and leaves and think before you put your hands into any hole or where you can’t see the ground.

Had to return to the area today.

Why well i forgot my horse.

Well the ironing horse.

Amazing what you find in the metal scrap heap at work.

Did'nt help me find a cache.

But it did score me some GeosportZ points hopefully.

Cache was nicely hid.

Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a cache well protected by some quite substantial. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks caughtatwork for the cache and series.

Next stop along the walk and this was a down on hands and knees experience to search along the hiding area. Cache was found after a little digging through the leaves and other unmentionable 'stuff'. Once in hand, I stayed seated to sign the log and then replaced the cache, covering it with a rogue piece of concrete for safe keeping.

Thanks for another one [email protected] with a FTF. Cache all good.
