Description
Kangaroo Reserve - Caroline Springs Walk
Themeda triandra is a tufted perennial that can grow to 1.5 m tall and 0.5 m across. Its leaves are 10-50 cm long and 2-5 mm wide, green to grey. This was originally the home to a throng of kangaroos before the neighbourhood was overrun by humans. Alas not many ‘roos are to be found here nowadays.
Caroline Springs, just 25km west of Melbourne is a thriving community with a great trail of paths and walkways between the artificial lakes, ponds and creeks. Set in 800 hectares of grazing land Caroline Springs was developed on greenfield land since starting in 1999. At the north of the suburb is the town square and main shopping centre known as CS Square, and a man-made lake known as Lake Caroline. This series of geocaches takes you along some of the lesser-known pathways around various creeks and waterways on the edge of Caroline Springs.
The cache you seek is a micro container disguised to blend into the surrounds. Always be aware of snakes around water and leaves and think before you put your hands into any hole or where you can’t see the ground.

Many thanks caughtatwork for placing this series of caches, we enjoyed our wander around the area.
Thanks for this cache caughtatwork. A great sense of achievement when a tricky hide is located.
Arrived at GZ and started the search. Moved a mountain of leaves from around the area, however I couldn't spot a cache. I thought I was in the right place and if so, the cache looks as if it is gone. If I was in the wrong place, well, it could be there.
Thanks anyway C@W. Will watch and see what happens.
I pulled out the treadly dusted off the cobwebs.
After dropping the geodaughter at school I headed to the springs area for some smileys.
This one had me landscaping forever.
I thought it may be gone.
But eventually found it nice and deep and hidden.
