Description
Calliope (pronounced kuh-lai-uh-pee)
Calliope River Rest Area has a large free overnight camp on both sides of the river. Calliope River Village holds regular events, like hot rod shows and markets, in the day area. Pull off onto the Old Bruce Highway and stop for a short break or overnight. There's generous parking for all size vehicles.
The cache is not in the camping area. You're looking for a small magnetised sistema containing logbook and pencil.

Today we continued our LGA wander and wandered by this cache. Of course we had to stop to look for this one. Spot on coordinates and an excellent hide meant we had no trouble finding the container. The container and contents were in excellent condition.

Heading north we detoured off the Hwy to find this cache.

Heading home from Townsville with LuckyL10n and we stopped by here to grab the cache and the dragonZone. Not that busy and LL soon had the cache. Log was signed, cache replaced and we were back on the road.

#GA5630 - 12:50; Day fifteen of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune. After a night in Koumala, we headed south, destination Bundaberg, collecting caches in the various dragonZones as we travelled along the Bruce Highway, including this one. Stopped off at the Calliope village and made a quick find on this cache. TFTC geono.
