Photograph Yourself Retrieving A Cache In Costume

You want to make your day out caching more of a challenge? Well this is for you!!!

To log this locationless cache, I want you to go and find a cache, any cache in a costume of some sort!! Once there I want a photo of you holding the container and your GPS!!

Try to be a little creative, wearing just a pair of big glasses is a little easy, I want you to do this as elaborately as possible!!

Please send pic to me to get permission to log, then add pic to log.

Can't wait to see some funny photos!!

Enjoy!!

Note: There is no physical cache at the actual coordinates.

While in the area collecting points for the State of the Nation game we decided to get the mullet out, put the tatts on and get the photo done. Got the nano in hand and luckily there were no muggles going past LaughingLaughing

I found a cache today dressed up in a cow girl outfit - who better than Cat Ballou to grab a cache. Thanks for the fun Smile

What a FANTASTIC cache idea, sure adds lots of fun to caching, and what makes it even special is the fantastic people who make an effort for this bit of fun. I for one love the effort gone to. Well done everyone. I'll have to think something up now.

went out no long ago with OtterCreek29 and The Ryan Girls to do the Harry Potter series and we thought we would make it fun and all dress up - wearing shirts depicting something about the movie, wands and Harry Potter glasses. It was an awesome day tftc coley_babee

Out for drive to grab a new series of cachers near Canberra and decided to take my Zorro costume (from a masked charity ball attended a few years ago) to try this one.

So, with mask on and sword in hand, the cache we were searching for was found and the required photo taken.

Thanks for something a little different....

Our daughter (sympathetic muggle) bought an owl suit (onesie) to take to Macquarie Island last summer season. Given our name and our pathtag, it was a most appropriate costume for meeting the requirements of this cache. Mrs y’stassie “suited up” to look for “GC4PCRY Micro #1 Welcome to Lulworth”. She could only cache in the owl suit for about 10 minutes before overheating – it must be OK for sub-Antarctic and Antarctic climates but not for Tassie today. By the way, we found the cache after an extensive search. One photo with two images has been added to the Gallery: Mrs y’stassie caching at Lulworth in the owl suit; and muggle daughter in her owl suit on Macquarie Island (what were the penguins thinking?).

As this is a Multi I am using the start rather than the end co-ords... but they are not too far away.

One does not simply go out geocaching late at night in the inner suburbs of Sydney. The caches are guarded by the drunk and disorderly, and dangers are abound. You must come prepared. GPS, check. Pen, check, Sword, Check.

Right now we are ready. After fighting our way through masses of muggles we were saved by the arrival of the YOTS (Youth off the Streets) Night Van which distracted them by handing out free caffeine. Zhaoy and I completed a Trig, and a 3 point Mulit, in Darlinghurst (Inner suburbs of Sydney), at 1130pm, on a Saturday night, in Full Kit. There may or may not have been a French Themed Party somewhere in between, but the results were the same.

Sadly we seemed to have lost the Picture of Zhaoy holding the cache in her costume, but there are lots of others to prove she did the deed Very Happy

Cheers! This was fun, should do it again Wink

Checking out GC1VQWY-Cox Peninsula. This would surely be enough to scare the locals.

Ok so as part of another locationless cache I completed GCN50F in a borrowed Virgin Blue Pilots Uniform.

A rather nice day it was to be out caching, I completed the Wp's for the multi and headed to GZ to log the cache.

Fortunately no one was in tow.

TFTC Very HappyVery Happy

Went along to Glass and Steel in King's Park with a couple of friends in full animal parade costume and hence I'm also logging Costume Capers. Unfortunately by the time we got to ground zero, we had lost the shark, but squid, penguin and monkey continued the parade.

A rather warm day to be out in the sun with full fur, we entertained and perhaps made celebrities of ourselves with the muggles and tourists that were out catching some glorious rays. We had a few impromptu photo opportunities and were glad to have a couple of people coming up to us and saying we made their day. It's wonderful how a few people having a bit of fun can help people lose their inhibitions. Keep an eye out for us in our various animal guises.

And TFTC!

I was wanting to find the pathtag swapitorium (GA1922) for my 100th GCA find, but I stuff up the numbers by picking up a movable... No matters!

After clearing my costume with the owner some time back just in case it didn't qualify. This quiet weekday during the 'race that stops the nation' was the time when I'd attempt to go find a cache to qualify for this locationless as everyones favourite plumber!

What a fun locationless! I'm a Gnome, duh!

In the ACT, on the back of Black Mountain, is the cache "Everyone's A Winner In Canberra" GC16BJ5. The requirement is when you log your find, get creative and come up with an acronym containing FTF.

We decided to become FTF-APH (First To Find As a Pantomime Horse).
Our log is as follows...

We thought that we had better put a bit of effort into this one, not that this is the first time we have been out caching in this disguise.
We did GC1CGQM "What is that Thing?, (M3)" one of the great matrix series in the Sydney CBD, as a unicorn. As we mentioned then - nobody was looking at the guy grabbing the container.
The problem today was crossing the GDE with out causing an incident.
We had fun shooting each other in the crotch with the suction cup gun from the cache. Didn't take it so others that follow may share the joy.

As dared from Wileyclan in locationless cache Truth or Dare GA2284, I had to do a Costume Caper on a cache in a semi populated area. Well Wileyclan, you never said it had to be populated by live people. Dancing This cache - The New Dead Centre of Rockingham GC29THT - is a multi and worth doing. Thanks Coley-Babee for setting Costume Capers up.
