Description

A straight forward mint tin micro

My son was born in the maternity hospital that adjoins this quaint little park. I thought the park deserved at least a small cache.

There's a small prize for the FTF. Please bring your own pencil.

Logs

31-Jan-18
In the park today to grab a nearby GC. A short search and the cache was in hand. The mint tin was very rusty and does not look like it will last much longer. ShockedVery Happy

09-Jan-16
Travelling back from freo and stopped in to grab the cache in this very quiet Park. The container is quite rusty but still functional.

04-Jan-16
Found it. Lovely little park.

30-Dec-15
A tricky find that ended up with finding the cache on the ground. Returned to where we hoped the cache should be located. Some TLC needed here as the cache is very rusty.

Out and about picking up a few caches and this one was close by, so not to be missed.
Many thanks

25-Jul-15
Found the cache with Lazarus68, I have attempted this cache on a couple of occasions before but was put of by muggles camped near the cache. Had a quiet and empty park this time around. Thanks for the cache.

Nicely hidden ClappingDancing
Note inside pencil lead broken, needs sharpening.

11-Jul-15
Lovely little stop. Quick find and a swing at the park before it rained Smile

27-Jun-15
Decided to track this one down as it has been unloved for nearly two years now. My GPSr wouldn't settle here, so I wandered around checking some potential, albeit unlikely, hiding spots when I noticed the actual spot. Cache was nicely wedged in. Lid was rusted on a bit but I managed to get it open and sign the log. Cache is dry and in good nick otherwise ... Thanks for the hide Ozcrawf

20-Jun-15
A quick find with master5. TFTC

11-Oct-13
Thanks to Ozcrawf for replacing the cache. This is a cache I was keen to do. The next door hospital hold great memories for us as the place where our kids welcomed the world.

Thanks Ozcrawf.

04-Aug-13
Stopped by after way too long and replaced the cache which had gone missing.

26-Jul-12
I searched the trees near GZ with no luck. As this has not been found in over a year maybe the CO could verify that it is still there.

Thanks Ozcrawf.

Sooo Sad. Tried really hard but couldnt find it.... Sad

10-Nov-11
Had a good look about, read the other logs and looked some more, but no joy.

27-Jun-11
I had to take my son to an appointment at a complex near by today. I had initially looked at GC.com and thought that I had cleared all the nearby caches out of this area, so when we were early for the appointment today I was very happy to see that this one was only about 170m from the appointment place.

Arriving at the park we were suprised by the amount of water that was in the park, it was almost a lake and not a park Wink

Geo son and I soon started our search and quickly found absolutely nothing. After a while I read the logs and we had a bit of a closer search. I still could find nothing, but geo son told me to check a particular place. I have already checked there I told him, but to humour him I had another go. Sure enough, there was the prize all along - I just didn't check properly the first time!

Thanks for the cache Ozcrawf

Cheers Cool

Well this is my very first GCA cache, I thought it was about time I joined.

I just want to experience one of those "Gnome" things, that I have heard all about !!!

This Cache was a nice n easy grab to lure me into the GCA world.

A little bit devious, but despite some people on the play equipment managed to find, grab, sign and replace unseen. Nice little tricky one, I like it. Thanks Ozcrawf.

I think my brain was still cold when I went to look for this cache this morning. I had this idea stuck in my head that I was looking for a magnetic hide and so went about looking at all the nearby metallic objects for about a half an hour before I decided to check the description on the cache page - I was wondering why the coordinates appeared to be so far off. Once I had it right, I found the cache in a couple of minutes. The muggle on the hospital side of the fence that kept walking past must have been curious as to what I was doing. Anyway, TFTC!

you really have a talent for tricky hides....had been searching for 10 minutes when a muggle turned up to have his lunch...had to wait till he finished lunch, two cigarettes and three phone calls...eventually resumed my search...had to go back over same spot twice before I located cache...awesome title ...cheers ozcrawf

Nice park to visit.
Found it nicely and rehide nicely

26-Jun-10
A very easy find as it was just sitting on the ground, I assume it had slipped out of it's proper hiding place. I hope I have put it where it should have been.

We found this cache quickly, thanks to Geo-Hero! I love the name of the cache and what a lovely reason for having it here too. Thanks for bringing us to this park and TFTH!!

05-Jun-10
I had loads of fun looking for this. TFTC Ozcrawf! Lovely park. I went on the swings! There were a few muggles playing cricket and muggles walking dogs, but they were much too occupied to notice me. Thanks again.

05-Jun-10
Nice quick find while the others were looking at the muggles ...... who weren't really looking our way. This is a nice park. TFTH

31-May-10
My first find, 3TF, nice little park

30-May-10
Wow, this took me quite a long time to find! The coords had me out in the middle of the grass area, so I proceeded to search the most obvious spots nearby, but didn't find the cache.

Widened my search to some quite far away spots, and still no luck. Came back to the original area and thought - what if... and there it was.

Well hidden! Thanks for the cache.

22-May-10
*FTF* 10:45pm I thought this was in a unfound state for too long, so after my trip to Rockingham, I diverted on the way home. (Well I considered 5 hours is too long for one so close to home.)

Thanks for the cache.
