I discovered this moveable cache in Rutherglen on the 7/4/23. Another Geocacher has taken it from GZ and will move it along shortly.
The Rutherglen Mega – Easter 2023
This was another a-MAZE-ing Mega, hosted by Geocaching Victoria. Thanks so much, for bringing me here and for the enjoyment it has brought me over the weekend.
Day #1 [6/4] – After a massive day of work, I headed off to my overnight stop in Culcairn. Along the way, I stopped off at an AL waypoint, in Henty. My only find of the day. Now time for some sleep and get ready for arriving at the Mega tomorrow.
Day #2 [7/4] – Its Mega day! I started off the day by finding a cache across the road of my motel in Culcairn, before getting breakfast. After breakfast I headed out of town and I arrived at the Rutherglen showgrounds at 9am. I was pleased to check in and sign the attendance book. I caught up with many people and I also found the lab caches. During the gaps of the Mega fun and during the non-raining times, I headed out to find as many caches as I could. I found the letterbox caches, attended the 3 events [2 GC and 1 GA] and found a couple of caches around the area. While at the GA event many moveable caches were discovered and signed. After the dinner event at the end of the day, I went did some bush bashing in the dark of the night to find a 2006 cache. I made sure I found it, as it fulfils part of a self-imposed challenge. Now, time to head to the motel and head to bed, so I’m ready for my last day tomorrow.
Day #3 [8/4] – My final day. Anyway, I still have much planned which included finding the bike trail caches, finishing the Solar System series and finding a couple of multi-caches. Also, on the way home, I decided on avenging a DNF. But before that, I started the day with breakfast at Macca’s. Next I found a couple more labs, some of which I missed yesterday. After a phone call, my bike riding buddy (Joelisa) was running late. This meant I could find the rest of the Solar System Series and a couple of others. I arrived at the starting point of the bike trail and was greeted by Ms Maddy who was getting ready for the bike ride. While we were getting ready If and Joelisa arrived and we decided on heading off and doing it together. The caches along the bike trail were signed as **8/4/23 JIMM**. The group consisted of Joelisa [J], If [I], Ms Maddy [M] and Myself - JohnoMawbs [M for Mawbs]. We did most of the trail along the way to Wahgunyah, found a couple of other caches, had lunch and for the return trip, found the five we missed for the return trip to Rutherglen. Then we went our separate ways. I headed off to meet up with The Drovers before leaving. I found two caches along the way home. The second of the two, I avenged a DNF. Now time to get home as I have a very busy day tomorrow.
I will need to return at some point, so I can complete the ‘bird’ mystery cache power trail at some point. Also all the new multi-caches which have just been published. So, these caches have been put on my, to do list. In other words, I’LL BE BACK.
TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found this weekend and for allowing them to bring me and the Geocaching community enjoyment. TFTE’s and TFTC’s

#GA5705 - 13:30; On a flying visit to Tassie on family business and took the chance to collect some of the local caches while I was passing through. Collected the nearby GC cache and headed over to look for this one. Did some scratching around to no avail, but digging a bit deeper turned up the prize! Now headed north! TFTC Budgietas

We took some moveable caches to the event that ended up being in Latrobe and we brought some back home with us, but this wasn't one of them. Left this one for another team to move along. Thanks for the cache
Found in the hands of DEZ055. Unfortunately couldn't attend the event on the weekend. However did manage these finds. TFTM
Picked up from another team at yesterdays Christmas catch up event. Will Move along soon. TFTM
Took this one to the GC event in Devonport this morning and left it with another team to continue it's journey
A quick find of a cache moved to a location not far from our home base. Accurate coordinates and the hint helped mr sharnie's tribe with the find. We'll move this one in the next few days, maybe to the event in Devonport on Sunday. Thanks for the cache
Eightball is checking out the NW. Waiting in a much used rest stop.
Went to look for this one at its published coordinates. Spotted the cairn mentioned in the last hiders note but, when we rolled back the rock we were confront by a dinosaur, GA12782, not an eightball. As we had already found Stegosaurus we left it in place and moved on. When we reached our final stop in Trevallyn where we had hoped to find GA21450 we found this cache and another we had looked for elsewhere. Not sure what happened but 2 out of 3 was OK.
Will move it on soon

Checked on this lot of moveables, still in original position, have updated co ords hopefully that helps. There is a cairn of rocks on top of hiding spot.
After finding GA2230 not far away we made the short trip to look for this one. After searching around GZ we widened our search and widened it again but could not locate this cache and its mates. Hope it was a case off cache blindness and not MIA.
Back out with a mate; ready for the finding
