Play Battleships. Sink the enemy ships before they sink you!

On your entry to the game you will be asked to create a playing area with a number of sea tiles. Your playing field is a grid 20 x 20 sea tiles making a total number of 400 possible areas you can target in your game of Battleships. A playing field is unique to each player so there is no benefit in teaming up to beat the system through brute force.

For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a sea tile and see whether you have make a hit. There are a number of different sea tiles that will be revealed when you take a shot at your playing area . It should be noted that there are no punishments for clicking a tile but there will not always be the reward you were hoping for as you reveal each tile.

You only receive points for a hit on a ship. Alas, shots that miss a target offer no reward. As a clarification, ships may appear diagonally, vertically or horizontally.

Prizes are on offer for playing in the game. A pathtag featuring the design of the game will be rewarded in two different categories.

  • All Total Destruction Winners: Those who destroy all of the ships on their playing field.

  • Positions on the Points Ladder. Positions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 then every 5th position until the number of pathtags rewards has been exhausted


Qualifying geocaches fall into two categories. Finds and Hides.

Had a call from another cacher giving me a gentle reminder that I had a few caches in my possession that I have not moved on
Today, I went in search of said caches and have found most of them
Some, I still have to find
This cache was one of those on the found list
Re-claimed and Sainted this cache at 1600 hours after searching for about two hours: they got miss placed during a house move and change over on my car
My apologies to all COs for holding them for sooooo looonggg!!
They will be moved again ASAP

After a long day out on the yard mowing lawns and tidying up etc. we opened the front door to be greeted with a bag of moveables that were kindly dropped off by another team.
This was one of the moveables in the bag. TFTC

We were alerted to a gathering of moveables in the Ulverstone area and dropped by to assist them in their quest to travel. They will be dropped off in another area of the north west coast this weekend to assist teams with the current Battleships game. Thanks for the cache

Checked the letter box when we returned from dropping the workhorse off for a service and found a blue frog staring up at us. He was sitting on a small package and this spikey little thing was in it with two others. Will move this one along the coast soon.
