Description
In case you were wondering, it's not known how Nobby got its name.
Nobby is the home of Rudd's Pub. Based on local folklore, Steel Rudd who wrote the On Our Selection books and lived in Nobby, wrote some of his works in the pub. Since it was built in 1893, it's quite possibly right.
The cache is a magnetised sistema painted black. It contains a logbook and pencil.

The wife and I were on a weekend getaway and the GPS alert came up as we approached this cache. I pulled up and parked a couple of metres from the cache location for a quick find.

Woohoo!! FTF
We can’t believe it after all this time.
Heading home from today’s CITO in Warwick we went via Nobby to look for this cache. Must be our lucky day - or perhaps it’s the excellent hint - as it was the first thing we put our hand on. All is still in excellent condition.
Thanks geono for another beaut cache in a lovely little town.

Feeling like a real nob since we could not find it, of course we didn't go for a deep dive under (ground still wet) but checked the spots where such a container could hide.
Probably didn't help that a road crew rocked up to repair potholes, although the truck provided quite reasonable cover.
I would have liked to have found this one - a FTF so far from home. Oh well, maybe next time.
Still while we were here we saw ...
* Two RoadRailers (light trucks/utes which ride the rails)
* One road crew fixing potholes - they backed the truck over the filled holes a couple of times to compact the filling.
* One truck drive up and use the weighbridge.
Thanks for bringing us here.
