Hi Tassie Trekkers. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year.
VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didn’t find the girl U want, the caches were enough. It’s a beautiful world here in Tassie.

Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today.

FTF: No

Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 1. Hobart to Devonport via the central highlands. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time.

A quick find with cache in good nick.

Many tftc Tassie Trekkers...much appreciated...cheers ST.

A day trip up to the Lakes to find (and refind) some caches, a great day out, some easy and some harder finds.

Straight after parkrun this morning i meet gooseandegg at our normal coffee shop and after a few minutes chat the goose loaded his gear in the 4WD and we were off heading North for the day.

We almost made it to our furthest target cache without stopping but called for some GCA caches along the way, after grabbing some stunning views from a new budgie cache we headed to the last one and started on our drive back after a short detour.

The cache of the day was a out of the blue surprise showing me a location i had no idea of and a feature i didn't know existed in Tasmania or Australia.

It was dark and 9:40 before I got home, almost 11 hours and 460km made for a good caching trip.

We were unsure of the best approach here. There were campers nearby (again) so we drove around behind them and decided to walk the rest of the way so we didn't attract too much attention. We wandered past some old tree giant with gaping holes from previous fires that looked like distorted mouths. We soon reached GZ and found our last GA for the day. We'll have to come back to do the Lake Crescent ones another day.
Thanks for your contribution to a fantastic day out Tassie Trekkers

Any excuse to put the Fortuna into 4x4 mode, this one was treated like a driveby and a good time was had by all. TFTC

This would be our final cache find for today. We enjoyed the visit to this part of the camp grounds. Its nice to see the toilet facilities have been upgraded since our last visit.

We parked on the edge of the tuning circle and made our way down a very muddy vehicle track towards the hide. As we left the track and started through the scrub Mrs Y'stassie spotted a little alpine finger orchid not far from the hide. Once at the object mention in the hint we were able to spot the cache container. We took a little time to make sure there were no unwanted guests in the cavity with the container before reaching in to retrieve it. All was in good order.

Thanks for this cache and all those you put out in this area Tassie Trekkers. We had a great day finding them all and enjoying the scenery.

Hi Trekkers
A trip with Budge to perform maintenance at Swansea and find caches in the Interlaken area; so my trip took me from Huonville to Lenah Valley, through Sorell to Orford then on to Swansea across the middle to Campbell Town where lunch was had and then to Lakes Sorell and Cresent. A brief stop was made at Bothwell prior to returning to Lenah Valley and driving back to Huonville
A mix of GC and GCA caches were found along the way - twenty caches in all
To collect these caches I took 6014 steps expending 1425 calories to cover a distance of 4.69km on foot
This one was found and Sainted quickly at 1420 hours
Thanks for bringing me back to an area where I've spent a lot time camping and shacking while trout fishing
Thanks to Budge for a great day
Thanks and cheers

Out for a day with OldSaint mainly as a maintenance run for me, then on the way home we diverted to Lake Sorell and Interlaken to grab a few GCA caches.

Thank you for this cache, I have a feeling that Mr Tassie Treker enjoyed the drive around this area.

FTF @ 12.40 pm. We headed out on a beautiful winter's day to do a 400 km circuit to find one missile for the current battleship games and along the way we collected 15 FTFs and this was one of them. A nice drive in an area we have not cached in for a long time. TFTC
