Swampy and I decided that we needed to continue our plunder of caches in the north west of the state. Countless hours were spent solving puzzles, planning routes and generally preparing for the onslaught. This was going to encompass caches both from GC and GCA. Thanks for placing this hide.
Hi Tassie Trekkers.
Today VK7HCH continued our plundering of caches between home and the northwest of the state.
On Day 1 of the plunderage, your cache was one of those that we found.
We worked our way from Mangalore to Deloraine via the Central Highlands finding caches as we went.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.

Took the Lakes Hwy through to Gretna for work today. Slight detour on the way home stopped and grabbed this one. Didn’t realise there was two ways to access the hide. Yep I took the hard way retrieving the cache, signed the log then saw the easy way to rehide. TFTC

A day trip up to the Lakes to find (and refind) some caches, a great day out, some easy and some harder finds.
Straight after parkrun this morning i meet gooseandegg at our normal coffee shop and after a few minutes chat the goose loaded his gear in the 4WD and we were off heading North for the day.
We almost made it to our furthest target cache without stopping but called for some GCA caches along the way, after grabbing some stunning views from a new budgie cache we headed to the last one and started on our drive back after a short detour.
The cache of the day was a out of the blue surprise showing me a location i had no idea of and a feature i didn't know existed in Tasmania or Australia.
It was dark and 9:40 before I got home, almost 11 hours and 460km made for a good caching trip.

After exploring some of the road and lakes west of Liawenee it was time to head for home. But of course being geocachers we didn't go straight home - we detoured via Intetlaken and grabbed a few on the way. We'll have to come back for the Lake Crescent ones another day though.
Thanks Tassie Trekkers

Out and about showing our exchange student around our beautiful central highlands, off to a bit of a cold and foggy start but I think she had a good day.

Was on the way back to the shack and thought i would try and find this cache with only a small amount of light left i managed to find the cache, took a bit of getting as its up height but managed to grab it.
Hi Trekkers,
After finishing work in the Hamilton Area, i was travelling back along the Highland Lakes Rd when i decided to detour to grab this cache, as i was travelling to GZ i spotted the likely hiding place and guessed where the cache would be so i parked the ute right along side so i could stand on the tray to retrieve the cache, i had just signed and replaced the cache when a truck came down the road, he gave me a strange look as i waved to him while still standing in the tray.
I look forward to coming back and finishing the rest of the caches in the area. TFTC

After finding the Victoria Valley multi we had a whole day on our hands. It was perfect highland weather, sunny with clear skies and a light breeze. We checked our downloads and found we had 2 sets to choose from - BudgieTas' HEC series and Tassie Trekkers series covering the approach to Lake Crescent, Lake Crescent, Lake Sorell and Interlaken. We decided on the later and had a great day finding all caches we looked for. This was the first on our list.
It was indeed a case of following the hint and we had just retrieved the cache container when a muggle pulled up to see if we were OK. When we replied in the affirmative he happily drove off. Container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for this cache Tassie Trekkers. We enjoy driving through this area as there are some extremely large trees and very little traffic.

Out today to get a couple of caches I missed a week ago because of muggle workmen in the area only to be muggled again. Continued onward to this cache as this series was on my list of to do for today. Luckily I had an appropriate tool to assist on board.

Hi Trekkers
A trip with Budge to perform maintenance at Swansea and find caches in the Interlaken area; so my trip took me from Huonville to Lenah Valley, through Sorell to Orford then on to Swansea across the middle to Campbell Town where lunch was had and then to Lakes Sorell and Cresent. A brief stop was made at Bothwell prior to returning to Lenah Valley and driving back to Huonville
A mix of GC and GCA caches were found along the way - twenty caches in all
To collect these caches I took 6014 steps expending 1425 calories to cover a distance of 4.69km on foot
This one was found and Sainted quickly at 1520 hours
Thanks to Budge for a great day
Thanks and cheers

Out for a day with OldSaint mainly as a maintenance run for me, then on the way home we diverted to Lake Sorell and Interlaken to grab a few GCA caches.
Stopped by the stump on the way through to Bothwell. TFTC
Interesting climb to this cache!

FTF @ 2.00 pm. We headed out on a beautiful winter's day to do a 400 km circuit to find one missile for the current battleship games and along the way we collected 15 FTFs and this was one of them. A nice drive in an area we have not cached in for a long time.
