Description

There are many trails on Red Hill - take a wander down the Red Hill Reservoir Fire Trail to find this cache .

From 1917 to the early 1920s, Charles Weston directed the planting of almost 4,000 Callistemon citrinus (Crimson Bottlebrush) and also Grevillea rosmarinifolia (Rosemary Grevillea) shrubs near the summit roads.
This was at the direction of Walter Burley Griffin
whose Canberra plan included to have red flowering plants on Red Hill.
Many of these plants have survived and multiplied and provide a great show of colour when in flower.

Dogs must be kept on a lead
Please BYOP - room for small swaps

Another day another (late) run for a GCA cache today. Parked in the obvious spot and took the walk to GZ. Not another soul around and once at GZ the cache was a quick find. Log signed, as FTF, and then back to the car and home for dinner.

Thanks for another one KK...
