Tealby’s Revenge was my last GC.com puzzle cache, but I have decided to place just one more puzzle cache on GCA, and this is it. I'm also using another one of the 400 ml Sistema containers that I won at the Oz Mega event earlier this year (still several more to go yet...).

For those of you who are not fans of puzzles I have a variety of hints to help you out:

Level 0: Solved with no additional hints – FTF is definitely in that category as no clues will be given until after at least one cacher had found the cache. Once this has been achieved I’m happy for you to ask for any level of hint/answer (you can even go straight to level 4 if you wish).

Level 1 Hint: Breaks up the string.

Level 2 Hint: A little obtuse for those who like just a bit more to go on.

Level 3 Hint: A stronger nudge to help you solve the puzzle.

Level 4 Answer: For those who truly dislike puzzles or have brain drain from so many ACT puzzles – you can ask me for the coordinates and treat this like a traditional.

Please fess up in your log as to which Level you needed – if you tag along with someone else who solved the puzzle then that makes you a Level 4 finder.

I managed three different caching activities today. First was the event to get the Parkway bridge cache. Next I headed up to do the remaining Isaacs Ridge caches from the Northern end. After lunch I headed down to Nimitabel collecting caches in Numeralla and Cooma along the way. It was a long day but a huge sense of achievement.

I was happy to find a bonus cache up here while I was around the area.

Thanks for the cache Tealby

I had cracked the code some time ago, but had not yet started venturing down south that often..

anyway, today was a southside mission to find some GCA puzzles and some soon to be archived GC puzzles. Quickly found. TFTC Tealby!

#GA1375 - 13:25; Yipee, dZ find number 1000! I decided to head up this morning and give this cache a try as a level 4 Embarassed and after a reasonable climb, made it to GZ and a quick find once I was there. Not only is this cache my 1000th dragonZone find, but completes my 3x3 Well Rounded Cacher mission and fills a blank in my dZ calendar. With all this in mind, I returned home and decided I should give the puzzle one more go. Spotted something (reasonably basic Embarassed ) I had missed on previous attempts and soon had the genesis of a solution. Ten minutes later, a belated level 1 Dancing. I probably should have persisted a bit longer in the first place, but better late than never. TFTC Tealby Very HappyClan Cerberus

GCA 1252 - 14103. To start the New Year off I went for a walk along Isaacs Ridge collecting a few older and unloved caches !

First GCA find of the day and of the Year! Parked in a convenient street and wandered up a path I haven't been up for quite a few years now. Got to my calculated GZ and the cache was in the first place I looked - Nice ! Opening the log confirmed what I thought - first finder since Boot65 back in July 2015 ! Happy with that ! Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.

Thanks Tealby !! A long time between solving and finding !

I opted for version four, but this didn't help me, as I couldn't find the cache. I came here to find this and another GA cache, plus a trig. I headed here first, but after an unsuccessful search - my Garmin had me more in the open among thin trees - I headed off to the trig and then the other GA cache. I returned here for another search after them. I extended my search several metres to rocks, a big old gum tree and a clump of pine trees. This still beat me. Brick WallSad

Level 3 for me and happy to admit it.

After a large nudge from the CO at their event recently, followed by a head slap from myself, some meaningful numbers for this one were finally generated.
So this morning it was up the hill to GZ. It was a nice cool morning for the exercise.
I reached GZ and began my search and then started to question my numbers.
After several minutes and several laps around a particular structure at GZ, the sneaky hide was discovered.
Thanks Tealby for the cache, the exercise and more importantly, the nudge!

Ribbit After looking at the puzzle a gazillion times (ok maybe 3-5...), I finally decided to get serious and that gave me a bit of a start. Spotted something unusual which led me to the key and the rest is history! A beautiful walk on a wonderful day and soon arrived at GZ. Took a couple of laps before I spotted the hiding spot. Cache is in excellent condition. Thanks Tealby for the clever puzzle and cache SmileRibbit

I'd solved this one a while ago, and was happy to have the opportunity to grab it today. The decoded cache name is a good hint on how to solve the puzzle, but if you can decode it then you've already solved it Very Happy. Pleasant walk up today, and an easy find as the cache was partially visible.

TNLN - Thanks Tealby!

Level 3 finder.....

Fitzy and I had a looked...but it was he who went with the e-mail for help, and today, many many months after said e-mail, the damn hill was attacked again. Fitzy still has to get out here to make the find, but that is the curse of working people, so today's adventure was with AB....and after a big lunch. Not a great idea, but we survived.

Cache found, no problems and is still in good shape.

Thanks Tealby....top cache because of the location.

Level 4 finder and proud of it! After a tasty lunch, 2 of the 3 amigos scarped up Isaacs Ridge to knock off a couple. Sol, he be de man! AB, he be de passenger!

Another one of the puzzles I cracked during my pre-Geosportz puzzle solving frenzy. Not having used it for the game, I now have all these solved puzzles on my list, so it would be a waste not to get out and find them.

I did the southern end of the ridge last week. Time didnt permit getting this far north, so today I started at the north end and headed south. No trouble locating the cache, but as I was signing the log I heard an engine approaching. I wondered if I should move a discrete distance from GZ, but before I could I was surprised not by a motorbike but by a helicopter sweeping low over the ridge!

They disappeared quickly, I returned the cache to its home and continued on my way.

Thanks very much Tealby for the cache and the workout over Isaacs Ridge - its certainly steeper than I remember!

Out on a morning ridge walk with Tealby and Meetup friends - found with a little help and logged with permission - views would have been superb if the mist had lifted. TFTC. 2BluFish

Woohoo, another one to add to my hitlist for when I hit this area. And a (rare) level-0 solve too!

Hooray!!
This was one of the puzzles that i solved at the last puzzles and coffee event, so i'm not sure what i'd be. 2 or 3? 2 and a half? Very Happy

But i've just never had the excuse? to be out this way, until i was working very nearby. Hmm, might as well wander up there.

Love the views from here, even through they'll get better up top! Smile

372. Well catching up on a previous log - I knew I was going to be up here again shortly. I would assume a level 2 or 3 but will claim a level 4 anyway Embarassed . Took the shortest line distance and boy was that a workout that I wasn't ready for. Some great views and had to sit and admire them for longer than expected as the family I had overtaken up the hill appeared over the crest before I could replace it. So you get a photo of a view and just because - my shoes.

Ah – finally got around to solving/finding this one! And of course, as per normal, I made the puzzle much harder than I needed too! Wonderful what kinds of patterns one can find if you look hard enough! So after a first level hint, I was quickly brought back down to earth, and had it solved in a jiffy! The a pleasant but icy cold walk this morning, for a quick find with some nice views in the distance! Now I can see why it was so cold – there is snow on those Brindabellas! Thanks Tealby – nice cache!

Well that was quirky! I had solved this quite some time ago and only found the real key after I had solved it with the more general method. Fast forward to today and I had 1.5 hours to kill. I thought I had the corrected coordinates in my GPS but they turned out to be the listed coordinates. So I sat by the dam and solved it again, using the official key this time. Then a short drive and walk to GZ.

Thanks Tealby and log a level 0 for me.

Yes a simple elegant fun puzzle with a great short walk to a GZ with great views.

Well done Tealby - much appreciated.

A very simple (once you get it) and elegant puzzle, which I had nothing to do with solving - SS had this one well and truly solved. We enjoyed another chance to come up to this ridge line again - the views are great. Thanks Tealby.

This is a delightful puzzle, so simple really and wonderfully elegant. Mr Winglen solved it in about ten seconds (and now expects to be hailed as a genius, but he is out of luck here!!!)

Ironically we were only walking up this way this morning, but with a solution in hand we decided to grab the dog and come up for a late afternoon stroll. Storm clouds were threatening, and it was humid and the first warm day of the season, but we enjoyed the walk from home and arrived home just before the rain (in time to bring in my dry washing !) Thanks Tealby - we always enjoy a cache we can walk to from home, and the views are so good up here. Very nice indeed, just a pity no path tags left Crying or Very sad TFTC!

OK, that was difficult, frustrating & funny at the same time. I had several hours to kill at London and Geneva airports, so I tackled this one. I found a key in (not the "official" key), but I was in. By trial and error I had a few tidbits of info, then my flight was ready, so off I went. Back in Australia, could I find my workings?????? lost somewhere!!!! But I knew what I did and what two tidbits I had, but back in OZ, I started again, and now my two tidbits refused to pop out/ My key wouldn't work either. I think Jet Lag from Geneva - London - Canberra had me forgetting something. I tried a few more hours, but my key didn't work.

So, I asked Tealby for a level 1 hint - aha - I was in in a flash - with my original key, then I saw the "official" key, ahhhh, clever.

But then, as per usual with Tealby caches, a walk was now due in a familar place. Cache found, and a surprise of a couple of Tealby pathtags I didn't have, surprise indeed. Thanks Tealby for the puzzle, frustration, fun, D'OH moment, and workout.

Woo hoo!!! My second FTF! Well, that was a nice surprise! After putting the geokids to bed, I checked here and found there were no new log entries, despite the cache being published for over 2 days now! So I went for a drive.

Found a good place to park, and started up the hill, but quickly realised that the trails shown on my Garmin must have been purely decorative, and bore no resemblance to where the trails really were. A quick check on the iPhone confirmed this, and also indicated I was NOT parked in a good place at all.

Back to the car, drove around to a better starting point and then it was off into the darkness with my new small-but-quite-bright torch. The animal noises in the dark were a bit disconcerting! Saw a big possum and lots of roos on the way to the cache, although none were too close, and got way more exercise than I was expecting (this was my first walk in this area). This time, it was obvious that I was on the right track, and it wasn't long before I had the pristine log book in my hands Very Happy.

Even more animal noises on the way back - usually from an unknown source, but this time I had to stop and wait for a roo to move off the path before I could continue.

Took FTF coin; Thanks Tealby for the puzzle, the cache, the FTF oportunity, and a nice walk with a great night-time view of Canberra!

Nice puzzle! Now, if I can just get a chance to find the cache before anyone else does it Smile
