Description

Play Battleships. Sink the enemy ships before they sink you!

On your entry to the game you will be asked to create a playing area with a number of sea tiles. Your playing field is a grid 20 x 20 sea tiles making a total number of 400 possible areas you can target in your game of Battleships. A playing field is unique to each player so there is no benefit in teaming up to beat the system through brute force.

For each qualifying geocache that you hide or find during the game period you will be offered the opportunity to click on a sea tile and see whether you have make a hit. There are a number of different sea tiles that will be revealed when you take a shot at your playing area . It should be noted that there are no punishments for clicking a tile but there will not always be the reward you were hoping for as you reveal each tile.

You only receive points for a hit on a ship. Alas, shots that miss a target offer no reward. As a clarification, ships may appear diagonally, vertically or horizontally.

Had two goes at this one today. The first time we arrived there was a van parked close to GZ with a muggle sitting outside. We returned on the way to lunch and the spot was vacant so a quick find was made thanks to the generous clue.
Have camped at the showgrounds before so knew exactly how to access this one.
Thanks.

Out and about and stopped to find this cache. A quick find. The showgrounds have been doing a lot of work here for the caravanners. Luckily noone was camped in site 91. TFTC

An unexpected trip south today gave us the opportunity to look for a small number of caches. The hardest part of this hunt was identifying where the cache was located and how to gain access. Then it was straightforward. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Budgietas for the cache.

Hi Budge
This was a quick find in an area where I have found caches before
The market was closing down for the day - everyone was too busy to notice what I was doing
My shot was right on target!!! LaughingLaughing
Sainted the cache at 1300 hours
Total finds for the day totalled twelve
In so doing, I walked 4.53km using 5863 steps while expending 1499 calories
TFTC and cheers
