Description

A cache hidden during the Battleships game

An old jalopy dumped in the bush, this old girl has seen better days!  Not sure what it used to be or how long it's been here but it certainly looks  a little sad!

The cache is a small magnetic container hidden on the body of the wreck.  Go carefully with your search as there are many sharp edges and it's very rusty.

While in the area, well sort of, we stopped and luckily made a quick find. All good with cache seeing it has been unfound since October. Nice to find this one after it featured on the mmmm ArmchairCachr cache. TFTC

Arrived at gz then checked notes and was relieved to see that it was a small cache and not a pesky nano.
A quick look there and another here and soon spotted the hide.
Its a wonder the scrap metal boys haven't been up here collecting.
Nice to return to an area where I spent many days and months mapping the roads and pine plantations, so long ago now.

Many tftc sharnie's tribe...much appreciated...cheers ST.

Filling time today while waiting for a friend to have day surgery. Grabbed some caches in the Wynyard area and then headed south to look for this one. Mr Beetle had it before I had even got out of the car.
Haven't been up this way for years so it was good to have a look around. Passed an unusual crop which we suspect might have been hemp.
Thanks.

We have had this one on our to do list for sometime. Today was the day to look for it. While one team member went east to finish some Christmas tasks the other went west to look for an Old Jalopy.

We have been this way many times but did not remember this vehicle. It is now almost invisible due the the thick growth that has occurred due to the wet, warm conditions over the last two or three months. The coordinates were spot on and we soon had a solid container in our possession. As it hadn't been opened for a while it took a little jiggling to loosen the lid before we were able to slide it off. Cache contents were safe and dry.

Thanks for this cache Sharnie's Tribe. We hope it gets a few more visitors over the summer period.

Hi Sharnies,

Was out this way for work today so i stopped to see if i could locate this cache.
After a quick look over the Old Jalopy i managed to find the cache relatively quickly.
Given there were no other names in the log book which i was surprised, i will claim a FTF @ 11:05am TFTC
